  1. Sorry for your loss Pumpkin. I can imaging it's extra tough when your not there with your OH to support each other. Happy to hear you're not struggling with your quit on top of it all.
  2. You sure you chicks were playing by the rules this time?
  3. Get well soon ExTex :)
  4. You can come here and bitch to us all you want :) We all know that feeling of being unreasonably irritable. Comes with the early quit!!

  7. Everyone has it in them Parsley. It's the addiction talking to you now in these early days. Has nothing to do with how strong we are just the addiction is still fresh and is screaming at you to satisfy it again. Don't do it! The longer you deny the addiction, the weaker it gets and you'll soon turn the tables on it and YOU will be calling the shots. Stay strong for at least the first week. Live minute by minute if need be. Don't look too far down the road right now. Hour by hour, and day by day for now. Yes it's tough and it can drain all your energy but you can get through it. Withdrawal won't kill you - smoking might though. Stay with us Parsley. We've all been right where you are at this moment and we are no different from you. We came through the withdrawal and so can you! We're cheering for you :)
  8. Yeah, yeah. We all know what's really going on right now!
  9. Excellent CM :) We'll be here to support you in your quit!

  14. Hey; wait a minute. You're back to good old Stewie Tech
  15. 8 Terrific, Mutt & Jeff are both back :P
  16. Hi Jacqueline :) Best decision you could make is to quit smoking. As Doreen said, learn as much about this addiction as you can. There's reading material available and there's a whole host of videos examining in detail critical aspects of smoking, quitting and the addiction itself. Read all you can and come here daily to make your Not One Puff Ever pledge (you'll see that on the main board menu). It takes a lot of hard work on your part to quit, especially in the beginning but if you want it badly enough, you will do it and it gets better and easier the longer you keep at it. You get stronger & the addiction gets weaker. All of us here have gone through the same thing you will go through so we can lend support to you along the way. Come here often and ask us anything you want or just participate with us in our discussions. We're always happy to see new quitters and we want you to stay around with us :)
  17. 9 Good; wouldn't want you to miss the next crushing defeat
  18. 9 Yeah .... what's going on here today. No chicks??
  19. The early days are not easy that's for sure Parsley. We have all been there and experienced first hand what you are now going through in the first week of your quit. That's why it's called "Hell Week". As Nancy said, do whatever you have to do to maintain and protect your early quit. The struggle you are going through right now will not last forever. Things will gradually start getting better and much less intense but, you have to power through these early days and set your sights on the prize that is yours for the taking - a smoke free life :) You can do this!!
  20. NOPE for me!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
