  4. I'll just buy a small pack. That way, I won't smoke so many
  5. Yup - no crave or urge to smoke is too great to ever make it worthwhile to light up again!

  9. Gitw - yes, you are getting to where that constant intensity of craves and anxiety starts to easy up bit by bit. It just doesn't happen as fast as we would all like it to happen. You just hang in there though and it will only get better from here on providing you keep the NOPE. You WILL still have those down days as you progress but they will be fewer and further between all the time. You've learned so many coping techniques and have worked so hard up to now - just keep that in mind too as you progress. Every day you continue your quit makes it that much more precious :)
  10. -2 Holding our own for like 10 minutes :) :)

  17. Sorry you feel you are not being supported here Parsley. My intentions were to encourage you in the early part of your quit, not coddle you. Most of us need that encouragement as we struggle to get comfortable as non smokers. Your recent references to "no bodies" "no dead bodies" suggests you are having issues with either anger or anxiousness which are both very common emotional reactions many of us have particularly in the early part of our quits. These are things you will find ways to deal with and they will also resolve themselves as you become more comfortable with your quit. Again, you have to just power your way through those early days and it does get easier in a relatively short period of time. I hope you you hang around as we all need that added ingredient of human support to help us along the path of quitting. We will all do what we can to give you that support.

  20. Welcome to the Quit Train Jryan :) And, congrats on your 1 year quit. That's amazing. I'm sure you will have a lot of wisdom to share with the new quitters here.

  22. Welcome to the Quit Train Jim "Handsome To A Fault" lol. Sincerely though, we welcome all newcomers heartily and offer any support we can give. You've got a great quit going there, very similar to my own so let's get this done and make it even stronger. (Nice choice of dogs too by the way :) )

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
