  1. Not a dope Feely, it's just sometimes what it takes to achieve your ultimate goal. You'll do fine now - I would bet on it because your whole outlook on quitting has changed dramatically; for the better :)
  2. In the course of an average lifetime you will, while sleeping, eat 70 assorted insects and 10 spiders.
  3. Rats & horses can't vomit.

  7. Not sure why but, as luck would have it, I'm still available :D
  8. OK; I guess I gotta bring this one out again ?

  14. For every human on earth, there are 1.6 million ants. The total weight of those ants is roughly equal to the weight of the humans. I'm off to the hardware store to buy some more ant traps :P
  15. ^^^^ Yes - what she said Jules :) You can do this if you really want to. Getting rid of the cigs is a very good thing. You don't need them any more because, smoking is not an option! The only way to quit is to just not smoke any longer. Simple concept, right?

  20. Get back on the Quit Train Evelyn - time to get your quit done once & for all!!
  21. I sincerely hope you can take this unwelcome news about your health and turn it into something positive for yourself Evelyn. As babs said, you MUST absolutely do this now to prevent further damage. The choice, as always, is yours and yours alone. Hopefully this will be motivation enough to allow you to fight this addiction successfully. We are all here to support you but as you know; YOU have to do the actual hard work. Stay strong my friend and watch any and all of those Joel videos as often as you can. They will help reinforce the fact that smoking does nothing good for you, only bad things.
  22. Yes, I hadn't thought of that but it's true. So much less clutter to carry around all the time. Early in my quit I recall a few times when gathering my stuff to go out somewhere, I would find myself checking a pocket to make sure I had my smokes then remembering ..... oh yeah, I don't smoke now :)
  23. Congratulations Feely! You had to do the tough 1st week all over again but I think you really nailed it this time. Stay strong girl and get this thing done!
  24. Congratulations CP1973! The hardest month is now finished. Well done girl. Don't forget to treat yourself to something nice because you've earned it. Keep your guard up as you move forward and we'll see you at the 2 month mark :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
