Ummm ......... I am still working on my "conditions" manifesto

This is where you have to get to in order to keep your quit permanently! It needs to be your choice - not some obligatory thing. You need to get to the point where you willingly make the choice each day not to smoke. Then ...... it's easy!

sick of winter!
There is a difference though with March snow - IMO. March snow is wet & heavy. A bitch to shovel and huge flakes when it falls but, it melts very quickly and normally this time of year it will be around freezing in no time so it all goes away. I'll tell you ..... I will take 10 feet of snow over just 1 tornado!! That time of year is here now too and I'll bet it's bad again this year. Be safe all those who live in tornado alley!

You were actually 1 Year & 9 Months quit yesterday. Certainly wouldn't want to short change you of a whole year's worth of your quit so ..... congrats on 1 Year, 9 Months quit G67 Sorry about that G. Welcome to the Quit Train Doug!! We are all quitters here and you will see from our various quit dates, there are people here quit for years and people quit for only days. We all GET IT! We know exactly what you are going through. Education and the support you will get here are key to your quit! Be sure also to go to our NOPE page every day and pledge NOPE (Not One Puff Ever). That is really all you have to do to quit & stay quit!! In terms of anxiety, Yes there will be increased levels in the early part of your quit. If you have anxiety issues to begin with, I would recommend you speak to a medical professional to see what can be done to minimize the issues as you begin your quit. Quitting is VERY possible providing you approach it in the manner that is right for YOU! Look forward to seeing you around- Wednesday 7th March 2018

I was the opposite Gabes - I still smoked after my wife quit years ago. I did try and be as considerate as possible though and smoked outside and would not smoke in the car when she was with me (that was hard on long trips). Hopefully, your wife will respect your position if she does start up again. Best case situation ...... she finds a way and the will to stay quit- 2m 2d 21h
Welcome to the Train Gabes Yeah - take a look around here and let us know if you have any questions. I think you'll find you're right at home pretty quickly. Lots of your old friends from QSMB here. On the SOS thing, we have an SOS page here. There you will also find a thread called "Prerespond to Your Own SOS. This is where you can write yourself a note then go read it when you're feeling weak. Remind yourself WHY you are quitting. That can help too, in addition to messages from others. See you around - I'm sure you'll want to celebrate Lin-quitting's 1 Year Anniversary today. It's on the main Quit Smoking Discussion page - Sparkzzz Is 5 Months Quit Today!!
