  1. That's it. Focus on the good things that are happening because you don't smoke any more - not the difficulties that only come around occasionally. Those will soon disappear and the benefits will multiply.

  17. I hear ya ..... been there; done that. Take it all in & enjoy!!
  18. Yes, I hope you get some "chill time" toward the end of this week. You deserve it having battled the early stages of quitting. You are also correct in just trying to manage one miracle at a time - lol. I can relate to that for sure I figured I would tackle the quit smoking thing first because, if I was successful at that ........... I could probably handle most other stuff later I figured if I can improve my quality of life, maybe I would be more motivated to improve other aspects of my life - we'll see. It's a work in progress!
  19. Good to see you back PP! (Ha, Ha .... I love saying Pee Pee )

  22. T2B, you have identified your "major trigger" so you know when you need to really put your commitment into gear, at least in the early stages of your quit. I don't know your situation but I do know that life never stays the same! Things change and can do quite unexpectedly and very dramatically. It did for us ( me & the wifey) this year (I won't go into details). You need to focus your commitment on YOUR long game. You and only you will be with you for the rest of your life. Make that life the very best quality you can and do it NOW! Everything else will change as life goes on but you can control your own quality of life going forward

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
