OK... next daft question....
Reciprocity replied to Oldybutmouldy's topic in Quit Smoking Discussions
If you are asking how to eliminate images from posts you have made, the only way I know of is to click on that post then click on edit. In the edit screen, place your cursor to the right of the image then hit backspace. Then click on "edit" or "save" at the bottom to save that action to your post. There may be other ways too - not sure. -

Hi Jannet and welcome to our family I'm sorry to hear of your loss. It sounds to me like your mother was lucky to have you there to make decisions for her that she could not at the time. And, I'm sure she would be very proud to know you are taking on this challenge to improve you own life! This is without question the best decision you could possibly make for YOU going forward. Rest assured, we are all here to support you as you find your way to freedom. Please feel free to come here and ask anything you want or just vent if that's what you feel like. We know exactly what you are going through as you quit smoking and we are here to support you in your journey. Understanding why you chose to smoke again and having a plan to avoid that happening again will be a key to your success going forward. This addiction we all share is a monster and will attack us at our weakest moments trying to draw us back into it's deadly clutches. Fight it Jannet! Fight it will all you have! Education about this addiction and your unwavering commitment are what is needed to find your freedom. NOPE is the only thing you need to do each and every day (Not One Puff Ever). Participating with other quitters is an important element in our quits I believe so please hang around and get to know us

^^ Welcome OBM Stick around and be like us .......... quitters!

The train ride might be hard at times Virginia but we are all taking the same journey and, our common destination is FREEDOM! I have found it really helps to communicate with other quitters. Others can be supportive to you but only another quitter really understands exactly what you are going through
-
That's a NOPE! from me too! Welcome Virginia Nice to see you joining us.

Remember to read, read, read everything on this site you can. Look for the pinned threads at the top of the Quit Smoking Discussions page! Watch as many of the Joel videos as you can too. There's an entire library available to you here on a separate page. Education about this addiction + personal commitment + support from other quitters = success It is really very simple - just never take another puff ..... ever! This may not seem easy to do at first but once you understand and truly believe that smoking does nothing good for you, it becomes much easier. Focus on the positive things that come your way once you quit. There are all kinds of good things that start to happen the moment you stop smoking.

So sorry to hear you relapsed Albert. You got through that hardest 1st month so you know that you have the ability to quit. You just need to learn from this experience and make sure you don't get complacent again after the hardest part is done. Well done on posting a message to yourself in the pre-respond to your own SOS thread. You can also post up an actual SOS message to others while you read your own message. The key here is not what happened this time but what you learn from the experience and to carry that lesson forward into this quit. You CAN do this Albert. Stick around and let us support you in this journey.

The Festive Season is nearly here !!!!

Please tread carefully when it comes to the booze if you are early on in your quit. There have been more relapses related to over indulging with alcohol than I care to count. -
Great to see you noping OBM! That's the critical requirement to quitting for good - Not One Puff Ever
-
Yes, that's the way to do it OBM! Read all you can in the pinned threads on the Quit Smoking Discussion Page and watch the Joel videos that cover a wide range of topics related to quitting. Education about how this addiction works and why it does nothing good for you is a key to quitting! By the way ..... welcome to our family of quitters

NOPE!

Congratulations Ellen for getting through the toughest week of all It's a pretty bumpy ride at times but you have been busy learning those coping skills that will get you to your permanent quit! It can be pretty exhausting at times for sure but you just need to keep pushing forward. Push forward and stay with the NOPE and you'll make it!!
-
Congratulations Jules on reaching that 1st month milestone. As you know, that one is the toughest to get through. Be sure to celebrate your achievement today! Keep up the great work

That's great Latoya You have come a long way since your decision to quit. Be sure to remember that because you have a lot invested in your quit now! Protect that investment at all costs!! I remember that first part of my quit where time seemed to almost stand still. It was annoying! As T2B said, brain dead (I called it brain fog - same thing) and seemingly a constant fighting of the urges to smoke. It IS all normal and it DOES get better the further you go into your quit, Unfortunately, it doesn't happen as quickly as we would like but, IT DOES HAPPEN for everyone who stays with NOPE. You will continue to have good days and some not so great days but, you have now developed the tools to fight for your freedom from this addiction. You ARE doing it now big time! Your Mom is 1 week smoke free tomorrow too! I'm sure you two are supporting each other a lot and we are thrilled that both of you are part of our community. I'll post something up in the celebrations thread for her tomorrow morning because she deserves a little recognition for reaching the 1 week mark. She's doin' great too
