Need to talk anyone there ?
There's usually someone here posting. We have the world time zones pretty much covered - Also, we do have a "Pre-respond To Your Own SOS Thread here on the SOS page. Go have a look and you'll see that many have posted a message to themselves that they can access and read at any moment. That just may be enough to make you think twice about lighting up a smoke or going to buy some. Give it a try. It doesn't cost you anything but a few minutes of your time

Hello everybody!
Hello and welcome Rasdaan Yes, we can help guide you through this quitting process but to be very clear, only YOU can actually do the quitting. Personal commitment and education about this addiction are key to beating it! You have that advantage of only having smoked for a few years but, you are still a nicotine addict just like all of us. Cutting down is not an option. You need to quit all together and Never Take Another Puff. We call this the NOPE pledge which we do every day on the NOPE pledge page. NOPE stands for Not One Puff Ever!! That is the key to beating back your addiction. You can never take another puff. Read all you can here and watch the Videos by Joel. They will help you understand what this addiction is all about. Stick close to this board too and post as much as you can. It really helps. Not only helps you but helps others too. Looking forward to following your quit journey

Tips to make quitting easier
^^^ Drink did not affect me negatively either so, you're not alone. This was my first quit attempt too so, yes - it can happen if it is important enough to you to never smoke again And yes; mine to was spur of the moment - no advance planning. Anything is possible if you just stay committed!!

Tips to make quitting easier
May I just add that finding a support group like this is a huge advantage too. I do not like or am I apart of any social media crap on the internet which is why I was surprised at how helpful it was to join a "quit smoking" support group. I was literally shocked at what an important part if played in my own quit. That's if you participate regularly in it. Even if that's just posting a NOPE every day. The more you give ...... the more you receive back it seems. It won't make you quit but if you are truly committed to quitting, interacting with other serious quitters is really helpful!!

Not an sos just an aargh moment
I'm just saying that for me it was at about 5 1/2 - 6 months when I KNEW I was good to go for a permanent quit!! It's different for everyone but there does come a time for all of us longer term quitters when something happens and you just stand back and realize .... I've actually got this thing beat!! Keep with the program ..... it WILL happen for you too

Not an sos just an aargh moment
I agree with Whispers .... choose your priority and be all in to fight it. I'm sure coffee isn't good for you but is it worse than all the deadly chemicals in cigarettes?? I'm pretty sure it isn't. I would choose to make my stand against ciggies - not caffeine!
