  2. Congratulations on being smoke free for 1/4 Year now IGT! That's fabulous. Great start to life long freedom. Celebrate this milestone then carry on. You Got This!!
  3. Take care my friend. You may decide to come home and visit more often than you think depending on where life takes you. In any case, you've done your job both for yourself as well as passing on your knowledge and experience to others so go annoy the rest of the world now
  4. NOPE! Gotta shovel snow off the roof today
  5. Poutine .... it's a French vegetable!

  11. Our neighbour just rescued a cat the other day. We loaned them our live-trap to catch it because it wouldn't come in on it's own. The -30's & 40's are one thing when you have shelter but domesticated animals are ill prepared to deal with the sh*t!! The cat is now safe and warm next door and apparently warming up to people again too. Unfortunately, the wife seems to have her eye on the critter. I thought we were done with taking in strays
  12. Everyone seems to get sick (colds & flu) between Oct. & the New Year although, they say temperature has noting to do with illness (I call B.S.!!) At least that sh*t doesn't last all winter anymore since I quit puffing

  17. Fantastic job JB! You can now measure your quit as 1/4 Year!! How great is that? Thanks for all you do here too. I have always believed that the people who participate regularly here do well with their quits. Helping others strengthens one's own quit resolve. I see you being successful in maintaining a life long quit

  19. The thing I don't like about where I am is the swing in temps & humidity between winter and summer. With humidity factored in it can be over 40C in summer (that's over 100 F) and in winter it's dry as a bone and can get to almost -50C with wind factored in. Your body can get acclimatized to almost anything but it's tough when the variance is that big within a span of 6 months!
  20. Oh my ... must have been looking at the wrong page lol OO

  22. It's now official Chrispy, 5 Years without a smoke - congratulations!! That's really something to celebrate
  23. Thanks for the concern all I really don't mind the snow & cold so much. I'll be warm enough once I attend Joe's cookout

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
