  4. Is this another one of those opera things you chicks have been talking about lately?
  5. Good thing you joined us then I was the same when I first decided to quit. To me it was make it now or probably a smoker for life? That thought scared me enough that it actually motivated me to resist all temptation to smoke again when the going was tough and it did get tough at times. I also knew that if all these other peope here could do it, I could too! So, now it's your turn to shine!!

  7. Congrats on being 4 years smoke free - that's great!
  8. +1 (I see what you chicks are doing ........... pretending you aren't mounting an attack. All this "Hi" stuff is really secret code for something, right?)
  9. Congratulations Albert on getting that 1st month done! It's the hardest text you will face. Celebrate your fabulous achievement and then strengthen that quit even more

  13. Dem people in Gander 'r sum awful nice! (Newfie accent der boys) Honestly, in Canada .... the further east you go, the nicer the people are. They will accept complete strangers into the homes and give you the shirt off their backs no questions asked and no expectation of repayment of any kind. They would then bid you goodbye by asking you " So, when you comin' home again?"

  16. Yes you can do this BTR!! I watched my father die of smoking related disease as well as a sister and continued to smoke in spite of all that. I just got to some point in my own life where I knew "it was just time". Let this be YOUR time Hang around here and let us support you while you educate yourself even more about this horrible addiction. I think you'll be pleased with what a great tool it is to have a support group like this to help you find your freedom
  17. Sorry to learn you relapsed Katie. I agree with what Boo said and yes, you now know that the image in your head of how pleasurable smoking a cigarette will be is just a lie that your addiction wants you to believe. Get right back on the train here and learn from this so you don't repeat it. You CAN do this Katie! You know you must do it.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
