  6. ^^^ Well ... not really because the celebrations page considers the date as the true making point. If you quit on the 5th of Jan. then your 1 month mark is the 5th of Feb. Whether a month has more or fewer days matters not. It's all in the date number. Just don't quit on the 31st because .... then, you're screwed (actually, we celebrate those on the last day of each month whether there's a 31st or not).

  14. Keep climbing Newbies! No matter what your addiction throws at you in this first month, just figure out a way to get by it and keep climbing I want to be posting up a lot of 1 Month Anniversary Celebrations in February
  15. +1 Morning! Feeling lazy today.
  16. Glad to hear you fought off those unwelcome urges yesterday JKPK. You will have some days for awhile yet that get you down a little but what you did yesterday is prefect. Read all you can about the experiences of others. We are all the same in this battle. Things happen at a different rate for each of us but staying true to the NOPE will lead to success 100% of the time Good to see you BTR & of course Katie, Latoya and Octain too. House full of Newbies - love it!!
  17. WOW, you are 1/2 year quit now Jack! That's impressive. You are also 1/2 way to the Lido Deck so just keep up the good work and you will get there before you know it. Be sure to treat yourself to something a little special today because that 1/2 way mark to a whole year quit is pretty special
  18. fore So it is written, we shall abide by the book! Sticks count 2 for each post, chicks count only 1. It's "in the book"! Five!
  19. That's it M5!! I believe each one of us needs "that moment" when we realize we HAVE to quit; no if's and's or buts! Whether that's or 1st 10th or 20th try. Sooner or later we just get it!
  20. ^^^ Yes, none of us were in complete denial but we just needed that one moment that brought the full impact that smoking was having on us into crystal clear focus. That;s what is required for us to finally decide to do something about it. At least - that's my take on it because that's what it took for me to realize I HAD to quit. You have it in the bag this time PT! I know it to be true because of all the things you post and the progression you have made since you became a member of our family. Smoking is so in your past now! From here on to the lido deck, you just gotta be on guard for and "sneak attacks", which are highly unlikely at this point.
  21. I quit one time and one time only. So far, it is intact and I plan that it will be that way for the rest of my life. So; if you are a new quitter trying to say NO to this addiction for the first time in your life, I say .... it is possible! You just have to want to do it badly enough. Like everything else in life, it's really about how much you want it and are you ready to put in the work to get there?
  22. Good thing you posted. I was going to appeal to the international board of "Chicks & Sticks"! OO
  23. Cheaters!!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
