  3. ^^^ Drink did not affect me negatively either so, you're not alone. This was my first quit attempt too so, yes - it can happen if it is important enough to you to never smoke again And yes; mine to was spur of the moment - no advance planning. Anything is possible if you just stay committed!!

  5. May I just add that finding a support group like this is a huge advantage too. I do not like or am I apart of any social media crap on the internet which is why I was surprised at how helpful it was to join a "quit smoking" support group. I was literally shocked at what an important part if played in my own quit. That's if you participate regularly in it. Even if that's just posting a NOPE every day. The more you give ...... the more you receive back it seems. It won't make you quit but if you are truly committed to quitting, interacting with other serious quitters is really helpful!!

  7. I'm just saying that for me it was at about 5 1/2 - 6 months when I KNEW I was good to go for a permanent quit!! It's different for everyone but there does come a time for all of us longer term quitters when something happens and you just stand back and realize .... I've actually got this thing beat!! Keep with the program ..... it WILL happen for you too

  9. OK - understand better now - just don't fukcin smoke ..........OK??
  10. I agree with Whispers .... choose your priority and be all in to fight it. I'm sure coffee isn't good for you but is it worse than all the deadly chemicals in cigarettes?? I'm pretty sure it isn't. I would choose to make my stand against ciggies - not caffeine!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
