  12. I have read about this issue since early on in my quit and it seems to be the number 1 issue threatening not only new quits but well established quits as well. OK, you've been quit now for months or even years so what's the harm .... just one for old times sake! You can abstain easily right after that one! Oh, the posts I have read of people years into their quit who thew it all away by seducing themselves to have "just one"! Then after that, the agony and disappointment in realizing the truth of what they have lost. Complete devastation! Back to square one!! What a shame. NEVER listen to that voice - not matter what.

  14. Hi Sparkzzz! Welcome to the train Lots of your companions from QSMB here now and likely more will come unless they sort out the issues there. In the meantime, pull up a chair and relax. You are in good company here
  15. -1 Oh yeah - new rule .... Mods not allowed playing THIS game (Doreen, Jenny??)
  16. We each need to find our own way. The way that works for us. The main thing is that you find YOUR way!

  22. Yes, having a "quit buddy" can be a big plus. You will both be experiencing similar things at the same time
  23. Yes, what M5 said ...... keep well hydrated, get lots of sleep because the early days can be exhausting and the deep breathing really helps with the anxiety you may experience in the early days. Anything but smoking!! Also, be sure to get rid of any smoking materials you may have around. If there are no smokes handy, you can't cave in during a particularly strong craving to smoke. You have made the commitment so now .......... you are a Non-Smoker! Smoking is off the table for you now
  24. ^^^ A double post is ALWAYS better than no post at all !!!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
