  1. Sorry I missed your BIG DAY Jane ? It looks like the crowd has thinned a little on the Lido Deck by now so we can sit, have a quiet cocktail and chat about how great it is to have achieved that 1 year smoke free status! Great work by the way and so happy to hear the good news about your daughter too.
  2. Congrats jam! Wow, only 1 more month? Hey, I think I see your ship coming in now Great work by the way and yes, you should be very proud ?
  3. Great work Barry! You are on the downhill slope of getting to the Lido Deck now. 7 Months smoke-free is a tremendous accomplishment! Celebrate the occasion today. Maybe hit up Vegas since it's 7's this month

  5. By numbers I may be an old pharte but I have never felt that I have really come that far so don't be dismayed because it does get better all the time; even though our addiction kicks us in the teeth every once and a while even after some time has passed. The good news is that most every day is no longer laced with thoughts of smoking or urges to go back to that lifestyle. Any thoughts of smoking become so much easier to dismiss. The more we invest in this quitting thing, the more we have to lose should we falter so the choice becomes easy and crystal clear with time. Just NOPE every day, even if it;s just inside your head.
  6. Welcome to the quit train Mike I have also found a recent rough patch due to just life sh*t! We get by that stuff if we really want to and certainly doing that is much better and easier than starting over again. I'm going to do what I need to in order to stay quit. You are welcome to join me if you like?
  7. Rumors that I started smoking again is simply Fake News!! Nope!
  8. ^^^^ Wise words these! People who come here for support themselves often don't realize how they end up supporting others even in their early days. Once you have realized that your initial fears about quitting were unfounded and you begin to embrace the process, it becomes so much easier to achieve your goal. You are well on your way already L
  9. Sorry - late to the party here but welcome Kbc! You have the hang of it here already and will fit right in I;m sure. Make sure you participate all you can, especially with the daily NOPE. Start your day off right Education about this addiction, personal commitment and the support you will find here from other quitters plus a lot of laughs to get you through the tough times will get you to your goal - life long quitter

  21. I just got done removing 12 full sections of wooden fencing from the back yard and cleaned up a huge pile of shingles off the lawn (lost 1/2 my roof shingles right down to the bare wood). We had a big wind storm today and the damage in the area is something I have never seen before! I would say 85% of homes have some degree of damage. Guess what I'm doing this weekend?!!
  22. -6 Oh my!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
