  1. Hi Nik and welcome to Quit Train! You have received a lot of great advice already so I won't repeat it. From your description of reasons for quitting, breaking free from the slavery of being a nicotine addict sounds like it's a big one for you. Doing crazy things you wouldn't normally do just to feed your addiction is common for all of us. I have found the freedom from this after I quit to be the most enjoyable benefit. No longer have to worry about all that crazy stuff Join us quitters and break free!
  2. Also commonly known as elderly folks who flock from Northeastern Canada to Florida for the winter months each year.

  9. Nice one Christa Once we realize just how disgusting being a smoker is, it's easier to stay quit because we don't want to be one of those smelly smokers again! And yes! It's great to discover there's a life without smoking and that life is SO much better

  13. You CAN be successful quitting for life if you want it badly enough. Think about why you went back to smoking in past quit attempts and be prepared to do something different this time around. You will get a lot of support here and that will help but as Bakon said above .... education about this addiction is key as is committing to the NOPE principal every day (Not One Puff Evere!). No such thing as "just one puff" for a quitter

  19. I vote painting!! I love people who paint, even if their stiff looks like shite. Be inspired and paint something - anything. Whatever strikes your fancy. I can pose if you like?
  20. So sad when we are virtually helpless to protect ourselves and our property from these events. It's such a personal invasion when weather decides indiscriminately who will be punished and who will be spared. Scary stuff - wishing all in the Carolina's the very best!
  21. Talk to me later ..... I'm busy right now!
  22. Have fun on your vacation! Be interested in what you think of the All-Inclusive land vacation vs cruising. I've done both and they each have their pluses and minuses. Congrats on six too! Another year of freedom to look back on

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
