  3. You are both doing great work (Beazel & Jo's kid). Our seniors gave us so much and worked hard though tough times all their life to make our lives better. Now they need just a little happiness in their lives and you are both providing that. Good stuff!

  7. I gotta hand it to you man! You're not even 3 months quit and going through something like this while maintaining your early quit is golden! I can't even imagine keeping my quit under those circumstances. Great to see you are still on the NOPE
  8. Remember those early days when you weren't sure you could even hang on? And now, it's difficult to imagine you were ever a smoker!

  10. My wife and I are at the stage where we want to explore exotic places such as Thailand in winter months. We are just in the process now of making large changes in our lives that will allow us to do that (hopefully). Glad you are enjoying your travels
  11. Same here. Quit on a whim in the middle of a cold, damp winter after a coughing fit while standing in a parking lot on a Saturday. Quit the next morning and have never looked back. Well, I've looked back but I never went back
  12. Yes JB! These images (not the one's of the naked or just in their underwear people) are a true sign that you have turned the corner on this addiction. I was putting out my garbage this morning and my neighbor was putting his out at the same time. I saw he had a cig hanging out of his mouth and when I went back to my garage, I could smell that smoke from 25 feet away with a light breeze going on as well. I remember feeling sorry for him that he continues to suck that poison into his lungs day in and day out. The smell of that smoke doesn't attract me any more, it just kind of annoys me now. Anyway, the stuff you're noticing now and the reactions you're having is ALL good!
  13. Yes, I think we are all blown away by the difference in our thinking once we have quit for a longer period of time. As you said, smoking occupied our minds 24/7 for the first while and then in what now seems like the blink of an eye, it's nothing really. Nothing more than a memory of how we used to be and the image of that isn't pretty
  14. Five
  15. Not routing for anyone. Will just be glued to the TV waiting for big moments like this ?
  16. You're just lucky Canada never gets in to this contest because our fans are world renown for being sh*t disturbers!

  22. I knew you'd be just fine lml Isn't life so much better when you don't have to suck poison into your lungs every hour or so?

  24. 15 So, how many Trophies have we won since I was last here?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
