  4. Yes. Try anything and everything to get into a new mindset. You never know what might work to relax you a little more.
  5. Yes! That's what we're talking about. Doesn't need to be fancy or expensive. Just something special that you will enjoy
  6. Sorry to hear you're having sleep issues. That really does wear thin pretty quickly. Hope you find a solution to it soon and get some much needed rest. Some of the quit symptoms we have to go through in the early days are certainly annoying but in the end, well worth it considering the benefits you will gain. Freedom from this addiction does not come easily but it is there for all who are strong enough to pay their dues. Fight on Pumpkin! You'll get there
  7. ^^^ Nothing wrong with being busy with life Kelly. That's kind of why we quit this horrible addiction so we have more time on this earth to do just that

  9. LOL - Yeah. He probably left the stadium on his own to go home and pack up all his worldly belongings. There'll be no living in Houston for that guy after his ill-advised catch attempt May have cost them 2 runs? We'll never know for sure.
  10. Sorry for your loss Jim. It's great you have the pride of your freedom from bowing to your addiction to look to for comfort. I know the feeling as I too went through some stressful times this summer and never even considered lighting one up It's great to reach that point in your quit!
  11. Hi GM456! Welcome aboard the Quit Train You are giving yourself the greatest gift of all by quitting this horrible addiction. Please read all you can here and watch some of the videos too. Educating yourself about nicotine addiction is very important in your effort to quit. Hope to see you around more once you start your quit.
  12. Congratulations on being 5 years smoke free MQ That's gotta be a special one for sure. You have shown your character and determination not only in your own quit but by providing a place where so many others have and will benefit from the knowledge and support this board provides. Thanks so much for that! I certainly hope you find a way to celebrate this occasion in a way that is meaningful to you

  17. As has been said many times; you just have to want to quit MORE than you want to smoke. And not for just a day or two!

  19. Yes. Great pics Linda! I missed this as I was away on a smoke-free vacation at the time myself. Great to just relax without needing to smoke at the same time isn't it?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
