  3. Hi Zoom! Addiction to nicotine requires a strong commitment to one's self, time and patience. Taking it one day at a time in the early days is the way to go. Don't worry about days ahead - just today. It does get easier with time but it takes time to get to that point. Until then you need determination & faith in the process. As long as you fight each craving and don't smoke again, you will be smoke free for life. The educational part is to help you finally realize that smoking does absolutely noting good for you - nothing (no even relief of stress).

    Oh ..... OK ................ 20!
  7. Will power or determination IS required but I agree that education about the addiction is probably the most important thing in terms of not only quitting but also protecting your quit because until you truly believe that smoking offers you nothing positive, you are at risk so .... educate yourselves on this addiction. It really matters!

  13. Keep pushing forward Wren because I can tell you from 1st hand experience, things keep getting better even after 1 year. It just doesn't stop there - 1 year is just a significant milestone because you've gone through all the seasons by then. Those urges to light up will be with us forever to some degree but they DO continue to be less and less compelling the longer we stay quit
