  7. Smoking does nothing positive for any of us and never has. It's the great illusion this addiction presents to all of us that it IS the cure for all our problems. Don't ever be fooled again. Smoking is an addiction that only seeks to serve itself!
  8. You are almost 3 months quit Tammy and those 3's can be difficult for some people! 3 days, 3 weeks and 3 months. This addiction seems to know when we are at our weakest and tries to lure us back at the slightest opportunity. The addiction is fighting to get you back just as you are fighting to break free of the addiction. That's the mental battle that you will wage for some time but as long as you keep at it eventually, you WILL win! The addiction will be a mere memory and just an occasional thought Breaking down those associations between smoking and all the emotions you experience in daily life is what takes a lot of time and conditioning. Be patient and follow what you have already been doing so far and you will be fine!
  9. Way to go Parsley! This is how it's done. Facing down those really tough times and staying true to your commitment to stay quit! Those hard times don't last all that long and you will benefit in so many ways by staying true to your quit. Reward yourself for getting through that tough day
  10. You came on here and posted so you MUST want to stay quit. Focus on the reasons you started this quit in the first place and renew your self commitment! Everyone CAN quit once they make that unwavering self commitment to improve their life! Why oh why would you want to go back to being a slave to that addiction?
  11. Congrats on such a wonderful accomplishment Avian! 8 years smoke free is something to be very proud of. Now go spend some of that money you've saved and buy yourself something special

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
