  7. Just look around this place and see all the people who have endured exactly what you are facing at this moment. We are many and we want YOU to join us. It's totally doable but you must do the heavy lifting to make it happen - just as we all did for ourselves. Everyone is the same when it comes to this quitting thing. No short-cuts and there are no special flowers who get to skip the hard parts. Once you are through it, it will seem like a small price to pay for what you have gained
  8. This is what the early days are about, unfortunately but - it is doable and YOU WILL get through it just as we all have Your brain has been thrown for a complete loop because you quit your addiction and it's not functioning normally at the moment plus, your addiction is demanding to be fed and can't understand why that's not happening. Fact is though that YOU are now a Non-Smoker so feeding that old addiction is now off the table Yay YOU

  15. I like the idea of bringing your "A" game
  16. And this is exactly what Quit Train is to me and so many others. Matters not the name or who the people are at the foundation of the site. It only matters that there are sites where anyone who wants to quit this horrible addiction have a supportive community to lean on while they are battling the monster that is our addiction! Welcome to Quit Train Kathleen0515 .We salute those who have gone before us and we remain here to support those who are following in our footsteps

  18. I was attending a wedding in downtown Toronto this weekend and the saddest thing I have seen in awhile is a baseball stadium completely empty and not even anyone around it in the heart of a major city that is full of people looking for things to do. As you say ..... if you are still putting on a uniform this time of year .... there's a chance and a hope you will continue. If not, the ,magic is gone until at least next season. For the teams still in it ...... go team go!!
  19. Thanks for dropping in. It great for newbies to hear from people who have been quit for awhile! There's a lot of us in between peeps too (not newbies but not really oldies yet) that are just cruisin' now doing the same thing - not getting complacent I have read a few stories about people who have figured after a year or two, they could have just 1 for old times sake and they have learned a very hard lesson 1st hand! The daily NOPE pledge applies to all of us for the rest of our lives. Whether you make it here or just to yourself each day, doesn't matter, as long as you never take another puff
  20. Tavares & Matthews pulled it out in the end - regardless of absent D-men
  21. LA now tied in Atlanta - WOW! Doesn't look good for the Braves ?
  22. What's the dip you would serve with these little beauties? Must be something that isn't too overpowering but should have a bit of "tang" or "bite" to it? There's a lot you could go with but mine would be a mixture of Mayo, Dijon Mustard then a sprinkle of black pepper, salt then a tiny squeeze of either steak sauce or BBQ sauce. Mix well and serve
  23. Braves are gettin 'er done at home 2-nite so far Of course .... a grand slam doesn't hurt

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
