  9. I know eh? All these new age techie things. Kids these days!!
  10. Hope you stay with it Hayley! The benefits that last the rest of your life are so worth the uncomfortable days you may experience in the beginning. Trust me ....... you are NO different than any of the rest of us and we have made it through the same early days you are experiencing now. You need to be fully committed and 100% invested in your quit. Once you are and are able to turn your back on smoking - yes, take it off the table completely, then and only then will you be free from this addiction. It's as simple as never taking another puff from a cigarette. It's the adjustment in your brain to living that way that takes a lot of time and work but it WILL happen to you as it has to all the others who have gone before you. Just give it a chance
  11. Congrats on reaching double digits Wren18!!
  12. You have a lot of people giving you good and honest advice. Some who have been where you are and have made the wrong choice. Be sure you make the right choice and stay quit! Too much invested to give it up now. Times of trial make us want to retreat to familiar and comfortable things. Smoking is ingrained in your brain as a familiar and comfortable thing and that's why you want to go there not but .... it's not a good place. It's the place you so desperately wanted to get away from. Keep going in the quit direction because going backward is never a good thing.

  14. Here's how it works for me on my PC: 1. If I go to a page, say Quit Smoking Discussions then click on a thread that is listed on that page, it will take me to the very first post of that thread. If the thread has multiple pages (it will show that to the right of the thread title) you can click on the last page listed there and it will take you to the top of that page. You can scroll down from there to see the latest post. 2. If you click on a thread that is listed to he right on the main page, under the heading TOPICS, it will take you to the last post on that thread that you have read previously. If you have not read any posts in that thread, it will take you to the first post in that thread. Maybe someone else have a different explanation for you.

  20. Some will never quit no matter what but, at least things are going in the right direction in terms of telling people the truth about nicotine addiction and the related risks!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
