  4. Nope! Cuz Rhino is looking to us for inspiration so we gotta show him it's doable
  5. 15 Hey Rhino!! How's it goin?
  6. So who's Ivy? My Mom! She's 98 years young today and still living on her own in a 3 story house. So, what's the connection with this smoking forum? It's not just because she's my Mom and she's awesome but, she smoked for roughly 20 years back in the day when the majority of people smoked. I can still vaguely remember her and my father smoking when I was a young kid. They both quit the cigarettes at some point but my Dad took up cigars then - they finally did him in or at least contributed to his demise significantly. My Mom ended up having battles with 2 different forms of cancer probably 30 years apart from each other. She beat it both times so, there you go if you are looking for inspiration to begin your quit or maintain an established one 98 and still fit as a fiddle, relatively speaking is clearly doable . Her biggest issue is her hearing. I was never aware that her TV volume button went to 70 until the last time I visited her place. No wonder she rarely answers the phone when I call her She refuses to get a hearing aid because she says; "those are for old people"!

  13. Sounds like you will have no trouble enjoying your first Smoke-Free holiday season! I would even say that you'll be coming here to tell us what a relief it was not to have to run off every hour or so to feed the beast! You are in for a real treat this year Linda - more time spent with your loved ones and a chance to show off the New You
  14. Great Job Kdad! 2 months is a huge accomplishment and you are now in serious quit territory. Celebrate the occasion, reward yourself then carry on! Just think ... you can still do those crazy Dad things that Mom hates but the kid loves but now, nobody smells the stink of cigarettes on you. That's Huge
  15. Leading by example for 7 years! Nice job Dino
  16. What was the question?
  17. I remember you from back in May. Welcome back! I hope you have learned from past attempts what helps you and what lead you in the wrong direction. Make note particularly of the latter because you will need to face and conquer a similar situation this time too. Commit to NOPE each and every day and that's all you have to do. Just do it once a day, each and every day and you're free!
  18. Thoughts and prayers to ALL those people affected in California! Just awful what's happening there. I certainly hope that get the upper hand on this soon.
  19. Nope! If you don't like what's happening ...... change the picture!
  20. In honor of your 4th Smoke Free Anniversary, I arranged to have one of the forum chicks do a pole dance just for you! Now you just need to figure out who it is. Congrats man! Fantastic quit and support to others as well for 4 whole years now
  21. He's still posting on the Nope page so that's a good sign

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
