  1. Best part of Christmas morning ..... seeing the kids all excited
  2. Merry Christmas to everyone here. I hope you enjoy the season of giving and spending time with family and friends.
  3. I did something similar when I quit. I gave my left over patches to the person who lives next door to me so they could use them when they traveled by air. Worked out well for both of us. I quit without NRT patches and they got to have free NRT patches for when they had to take a long flight somewhere
  4. If you smoke, that's your biggest problem and quitting needs to become your primary focus! It's the thing that puts your life, your very future, at risk! Smoking gives you nothing ..... makes nothing in your life better and will likely shorten your life. Am I missing the "good things" smoking does for you? Right; there are none! You are just feeding an addiction - that's it, that's all! We condition our brains to believe we are settling our anxiety by smoking in stressful situations when we are really just avoiding dealing with those situations while we feed our addiction. The relief we feel is because we needed that nicotine fix. Our real life problem is still there waiting for us. This is why education about the addiction is SO important. Understanding what''s really going on. Once you do, you'll get it and your resolve to quit will be strengthened 10 fold! You CAN do it just like we all have
  5. False TNP will go shopping still on Christmas Eve.

  10. Nope! Not at Christmas time!
  11. 5 Shouldn't you chicks be in the kitchen getting the turkey ready? Oh Yeah! I'm doing the deep fried Turkey outdoors this year ..... forgot about that

  14. What happened when you all of a sudden chose to purchase and light up a cigarette again after 24 days smoke free? You need to understand what happened this time so you can avoid it again this time. What is your quit plan this time? Is it the same as last time? Last time you used nicotine gum to control your cravings. You have been on this site now for awhile yet you did not reach out to anyone here by posting an SOS on the SOS page. You might have been able to get past your situation if you had posted there and waited for at least 3 replies. SOS posts have saved a lot of quits in the past. I wish you the best in your renewed quit attempt. Please read as much as you can here and learn about nicotine addiction. Have you watched any of the Joel Spitzer Videos? There's a whole library of them on a separate page of the forum. They may help you understand much about this addiction and it's affects on us.
  15. False TNP has given up eating meat.
  16. My number is up!
  17. 19
  18. Yeah this is early in your quit yet Kate so please be patient. There are still many triggers you will face but slowly you will be knocking those off 1 by 1. This is the same process we all must go through in order to be completely free. You will get there too one battle at a time. You know that smoking makes nothing better - just feeds and awakens your addiction again so stay focused on what's important - your beautiful 10 day quit! Protecting this and growing it is all that matters right now.
  19. Great work MLMR! You've established a great early quit. 4 months is still early yet in terms of ridding yourself of all the challenges so just keep doing what you have been doing and yes .... your time will come - it's guaranteed!!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
