  1. Hi manesha_t! Welcome to quit train You'll find a lot of information and support here and it's important to have support from other quitters because .... we actually get it! All the stuff you will go through, we have all experienced the same stuff so it's a great pace to come and research stuff or ask questions. Knowledge about this addiction is critical to beating it. Your comment about the control nicotine addiction has over your life is a significant one. That's probably one of the most benefits of quitting. Stick close to this place and you will learn lots and we can support you through your quit. And yes, there are many quit symptoms that are similar to a flu is common in the early days. Make sure you drink lots of water and suck on candies or something with sugar in it because your blood sugar levels will drop once you quit. You are smart to tackle this addiction while you are still young and have the ability to heal your body. Hope to see you around. All the best with your quit!

  3. Congrats on getting through hell week Jack! That's the hardest week done and dusted now. You have been gathering knowledge and tools all week that will help you continue to navigate your way through the days ahead. Remember; one day at a time is how it's done Jack
  4. Congrats on reaching the Lido Deck Gabes!
  5. Boxshitterlover is a bit awkward
  6. Keep up the great work Jack Those automatic thoughts and motions related to your smoking will fade over time so no worries there. The main thing is, you don't act on those thoughts. That's the quitting process. Be patient and slowly it will happen for you as it has for all of us here. Are you doing a lot of cross border shopping these days? With the currency exchange rate, it would be pretty tempting I would think.

  9. Thanks Marti for your personal story. You are 100% correct too. There's NO downside to quitting. Only good things in your future as a non smoker And, Happy New Year to you!
  10. -1 It's later in the Pool than it is where I am. You'll be the one tucking in soon
  11. -1 lol - no way!!
  12. Your visualizations of smokers and non smokers and wanting to be with the non smokers shows good progress. Keep it up. Visualizing smoking as a good or desirable thing is just perpetuating the lies you addiction has told you all these years. You're a non smoker now and starting to see the many benefits of that lifestyle. It will get even better. Keep fighting
  13. I'll try one of those Red Death shots please!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
