  1. @desperate1!! Where have you been? Glad to see you back
  2. Trust me efficacy, you are no different that any of the rest of us here and as long as you stick around and participate and read all you can, you will be successful in quitting this time. Our junkie brains try their best to keep that from happening but this group can help expose the reality of smoking and the lies your junkie brain will tell you just to keep you enslaved, You too can fine freedom and as you said ..... take back your life! There are so many benefits when you quit. Freedom from this addiction for life and an enormous sense of pride for what you have accomplished. Once you quit smoking, you know you can do anything!
  3. Welcome efficacy I'm much like you in terms of social media sites. No Facebook activity or twitter and no other forums but I also joined this place a little over 2 years ago and I can tell you that this place is different. It's a great tool to help you quit when you associate with others who know exactly what you are going through. It's even more powerful than family and friends because we have all travelled the same path and can lend you a lot of support when you need it. We have the whole Joel library available here too and a lot of combined knowledge about quitting and how to get past some of the turbulent times so feel free to join in. We;'e a good supportive bunch here and might be able to help you in some way. Hope to see you around! One thing I can tell you for certain is that YOU too can quit. It's within all of us. You just need to find the right time, method and support group. You have found that 3rd component now!
  4. NOPE! Too busy training my Giraffe the art of high diving!

  7. Hey @Jeff! Where are you? Give us an update on how you're doing.
  8. You have no sense what so ever
  9. All their sacrifice is why we enjoy our freedom today. Thank you for your service!
  10. I'll pick number 2, just to be in the game although I think you are right Jo Not eating a donut is almost criminal so that can't be true!

  12. Welcome Jeff and I would agree with the others. This is YOUR quit and you need to protect it at all costs. You've come too far now to turn back. You WILL get all the unconditional support here that you need. Also, and please take full advantage of this - you will have a lot of information about nicotine addiction here at your fingertips. Please take advantage of that and read all you can as well as watching the Joel videos. Understanding the addiction and the truth about it and how it will try and keep you in it;s clutches is critical to staying smoke free. Once you truly realise that smoking does nothing good and only takes from you (your health, money and freedom), it will be a lot easier to stay quit. You will truly learn to hate smoking and everything to do with it. You CAN do this, as all the rest of us have
  13. Yeah - Congrats Gigi! 2 Years is fabulous

  15. I agree with both despair not and MQ. This is YOUR quit dizzy. You can't be responsible for hubby's quit too. Stay away from the wine for sure if that's going to be a trigger because your judgement will also likely not be at it's best after a couple of drinks. I'm glad you decided to take charge of the situation and protect your quit. You've worked to hard to let it go over a couple of drinks. Stay strong and let us know how you're doing later on please.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
