  5. Good plan. I quit on a Sunday morning and then took Monday and Tuesday off work for the same reason. I went in Wed. and within a hour my head was spinning and stress level was pretty bad but you know what? I got through it because I was determined not to let anything get in my way. I faked it until I made it. It took awhile but it wasn't as bad as smoking was making me feel. You will find a way to deal with it. Come here as often as you can to rant or ask for help - no shame in asking for help. We've all been there. Use ALL the tools in your quit smoking tool kit. Quitting is a big deal so make it priority #1 during the early days.
  6. Good work Potts! You're working your way to a degree in Computer Science AND a degree in NOT -SMOKING Both will make your future better.

  9. Congratulations Kdad, You are two thirds of the way to that sought after 1 Year Smoke free milestone today. 8 months in now and you should be really enjoying the benefits of being a non smoker. Better health, fatter wallet and most of all, freedom from having your life ruled by a nicotine addiction. Now THAT'S something to celebrate

  18. Hello Juan. I just wanted to welcome you and ask if you have already quit again or are you still planning your quit. The good people here will give you all the support you need to quit once you take that first step. Hope you stick around on Quit Train because support from other quitters does make a difference. An there is no shame in having a relapse. Use it as a stepping stone to a successful quit

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
