  1. Moonglyn! 3 Months is a great quit you have going there. Be sure to recognize your hard work today and stop by to let us know how you're doing.
  2. Since there's no celebrations today I thought I'd reach for one. So here's my stats" 2 Years, 6 Months quit as of today! $13,655.00 saved! 22,875 cigarettes not smoked! That last one is the most important to me!
  3. You see! Decisions you make (good or bad) affect others in ways you are sometimes not even aware of. I'm sure your Grand Daughter is very happy her Gramma doesn't smoke anymore
  4. It was the worst of times.

  7. It's frustrating isn't it .... when we KNOW what it's like to be free of all that slavery to a killer addiction?
  8. I can do the male dancing if you like?

  11. The power to get out of that hellish cycle of withdrawal is completely and only in your hands @MichelleDoesntSmokeAnymore Until you do what you already know you have to do, nothing will change. Quitting smoking is one of a very few things in this life that is completely within your control. When you finally decide to exercise that control, you will be free!

  14. @Martian5 said, he's bringing some more beer for us fellows Make sure there's nothing in his path!! That looks like an accident waiting to happen!
  15. You seem to have thought this all through and know what you are doing as well as what you have to do in order to break free of being a slave to this addiction so I have no words of wisdom to add other than to say that living for a prolonged period of time in this constant state of early withdrawal is not the way anyone should live. You are in fact making things worse for yourself. Wouldn't it be so much easier to bite the bullet for a few ugly days, get by the worst of it and start healing? I really hope you find your key to maintaining your commitment to quit over a period of time that lasts for more then just a few days because in the end, that is what's required for any of us that want to quit.

  17. Glad you are enjoying the results you're seeing QueenB! Keep building that quit even stronger. There are so many benefits to enjoy as a nonsmoker. There'll be even more you will discover as you continue through your first year.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
