  1. 10 Months ago you made the best decision of your life - to quit smoking. It hasn't always been easy but here you are at double digits. Well done! Hope you stop by and tell us how you celebrated.
  2. Good question on the beard thing. I would say a concentrated effort is in order here. That would mean about a month I would say. The weekend forgot to shave thing doesn't qualify!
  3. Ah yeah .... was sort of wondering what was in that Coors Light That said, the lie still may surprise some?
  4. We need a 3rd opinion before I reveal so .............................

  6. Yup! These are the stories I love to see and we've been graced with a few. Not just people quitting this horrible addiction but actually transforming their lives at the same time. Frickin fantastic!

  8. Use the $$ you're saving from not buying cigarettes to reward your efforts in these early days and go get that massage! Perfect thing to do and it will lift your spirits too

  12. These symptoms can last a while during the early days of your quit. Be patient with the process, it's a marathon not a sprint race. You WILL heal but it takes some time regardless of who your are or how long you smoked. People above have given you some good ideas of things to try to relieve some of the issues. Glad you have put the smokes down all together because that's what is required not only to break free from your addiction but as well to get through all these early quit symptoms you are experiencing. Now that you are not smoking at all, the true healing can begin
  13. Welcome 8-Toe! I too had and hated the brain fog. Not sure mine lasted a whole month, at least not to a disabling degree. There were lots of annoying quit symptoms to endure but they all did go eventually. I have to think hard now to remember them and I'm sure my mind is downplaying how bad they were now but that's how this works. The crap feelings are temporary and they vanish as quickly as they came but the benefits you will see from quitting are with you forever. All you have to do is commit to NOPE every day

  17. Ok - here we go ...! 1. I have AB Negative (the rarest) Blood Type. 2. I have never grown a beard. 3. My family has a history of producing twins (of which, I am not one).
  18. When it gets to -40 degrees in Jan.-Feb., I ain't cracking anything open, especially windows so that's a False for me. TNP has had an operation in a hospital in the past 5 years.
  19. Oops! I haven't checked in here for a long time As someone once said ..... I'm going to have to have a wee think on this

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
