  1. For as long as you need it to. Your mind is slowly building a new normal that doesn't include lighting up a smoke after almost everything you do or every emotion you feel. That takes a while so in the meantime, replace those lost moments with some other activity. Keeps your mind off listening to that voice in your head that's trying to talk you into lighting up again. That's your junkie voice and we all had it when quitting!

  6. This is what the early days of quitting are all about. Fighting the cravings one at a time and by doing that, the cravings become weaker and your resolve to stay quit becomes stronger. Sure, it's not easy but it's a very small price to pay for your life long freedom from slavery to nicotine! Stay strong and remember the reasons you're quitting for!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
