I've seen a lot of snowstorms and I can't recall any of them keeping me in one spot for long so no, we don't 'stock up' on anything before a snowstorm. You're right on the smokes thing though. If there was a big storm coming the next day, I would buy that 'extra pack', just in case? That's about the only thing I could not have gone without for a day.
