As I recall, through my foggy memory, quitting ... I mean really being quit to the point where there's no more challenge to pick up that one smoke that will "make you feel great again", takes a lot longer than I imagined when I first started but I was truly committed to the task and that's what really made the difference for me. Quitting truly is a process, albeit a very slow one and a challenge to your emotional self at times. During the entire first year of your quit process, patience really is a virtue!
