  4. So I selected a custom date & time for Aug. 16th at around 10.00 AM then clicked on Promote. We'll see if anything happens. Hope I'm not wrecking the whole train!
  5. I don't know what forum you guys are on but on my computer, there's two boxes in the upper right corner of the page title; 2020 Quitters Name Poll. The first box is titled "promote" the one to the right of that is titled "follow". Maybe it's only on the Canadian forum
  6. OK @notsmokinjoso now we gotta figure out a way to keep this in front of all the 2020 quitters from now till Aug. 31st. How does the "Promote" thing work - anybody know? Upper right beside "follow".

  8. Yeah, there's not much joy in the early days other than the knowledge that you are doing paying the price in advance for a healthier lifetime of freedom! Keep that image in your mind because it's worth all the difficulties you are slogging through right now! It will get better - 1 day at a time for now Linda

  14. Great attitude to have @Midmale. All you said is true - 1 day at a time. Focus on what is happening now and don't worry about later. You can deal with things as they come up and yes, patience is required. It's a marathon not a sprint but it IS doable with the right attitude and focus. You also have the only rule about quitting and staying quit nailed down ..... NOPE! Not One Puff Ever There's even a daily NOPE pledge page here where you can pledge NOPE to start your day if you like

Great job Mick; almost a month & yes .... the support from other quitters will help you because in the end, we are all the same - nicotine addicts and we all go through the same process in quitting so we do get it! Welcome aboard the Quit Train. Buckle up and enjoy the ride. You are making the most important and constructive change to your life that you can make If you like, go to the games page and jump in. No better way of getting to know people here that to play the same games others do

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
