You have found out yourself that having an occasional smoke doesn't work for a nicotine addict and you seem determined this time to guard your young quit so you don't make mistakes of the past. All you need to do now is put that knowledge into action and let your determination guide you through when those urges threaten to wash over you. From the sound of your post, I think you'll be fine!

Well there you go! Surely they will understand what you're going through and forgive and forget at some point, I would think. Perhaps they're just giving you some space for a bit. I'd be hopeful that they'll come around at some point

Do your friends know you've just quit smoking & that your emotions are bound to be all over the place? If they're never smokers then maybe not. Perhaps your hubby could call them and explain. That might help to allow them to understand that what they witnessed was not the real Sandi!
