Tried to get a very large hornet nest out of the tree in the backyard. Those hornets don't like you messing with their home; that's for sure!!

I don't know if it was the Chantix that made a difference last time you quit or not. I've often heard that when a person attempts to quit multiple times, their quits can be, and often are, different each time. Sometimes harder or easier than the previous quit attempt. My own belief is that quitting is such a complex mix of not only what's inside ourselves at any given time but also what's going on around us at that specific time in our lives that our reaction to quitting is bound to be different each time we experience it.

Makes me terribly sad to see pics of the destruction of the town of Lahaina in Maui. I remember being there some years ago and it was magical! In particular, a magnificent tree in the town square. It looked to be a hundred years old or more. Now gone; all of it! The tree, the town square where people gathered. the quaint shopping district and many, many businesses. So sad 😪 It was a beautiful place with so many beautiful local people. All gone now in a day's time. I was always surprised at how gradual the progression of quitting was. Always expected things to resolve themselves a lot faster than what was actually the case. I thought by the time I was where you are now I would have transitioned from smoker to quitter completely but nope, that wasn't the case. Although I didn't necessarily have strong cravings every day any longer, I did still have challenges to my quit off & on. Both situational & seasonal issues would rear their ugly heads from time to time but as others have said, things do get easier to manage with time and by applying the tools you have already developed, you too will get past these challenges still ahead and you have all of us to lean on for support ... we have ALL been there @Sandi149! You'll be fine!

As of August 1st, Canada began it's multi-stage introduction of requiring warning about the dangers of smoking on each individual cigarette. This is a first worldwide. The program will roll out over the next year or so starting with king-size cigarettes then later on to regular size cigs. In addition to the new individual warnings, there will be new warnings on packs and in packs as well. https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/cigarette-health-warnings-canada-1.6923654 I'm not clear how imported cigarettes will be handled. Haven't been able to find clarification on that. From some images I've seen, the short 2 or 3 word warnings are printed on the paper that surrounds the filter portion of the cigarettes. Not sure what is done with unfiltered cigarettes - do they even still sell unfiltered cigs? Wow! I'm so out of touch with the cigarette industry (I suppose that's a good thing?)
