  3. 1 They're like my 16 year old cat @andyc941. Sleeps most of the day and night with the odd burst of energy for a half hour or so
  4. Hey @Judi, I read one of your recent posts and you sounded like you were thinking you were not the YOU that you've always been since you quit smoking. This article helps to explain why we feel so empty after we've quit. Thought it might help you? It does talk time and patience to "rewrite your life" as a nonsmoker but it is doable for anyone. Some sooner than others. Not sure if that's related to how long you've smoked or just who we are as individuals but you will find your freedom & peace in being a nonsmoker if you stick with the process and don't smoke.
  5. Yup, about 60 cm's (2 feet) with 80km winds last night. Wind died today which is nice. Still snowing lightly. Gotta go shovel again soon lol.

  14. Welcome AceWhite! Sounds like you know the drill quite well. Good to see you reaching out to a support group as that's one more tool to help you get through those tough times. As you said yourself AceWhite, it's up to YOU! We'll all be here to cheer you on.

  18. Congrats Jim! Feels good doesn't it? Not thinking about smoking anymore in the same terms we used to. I think that's my best take away from this whole quitting thing - freedom from that constant control of nicotine addiction!
  19. Congrats on your 1st Month. Celebrate then press on. Still lots of work to do. You're well on your way though. Stand on guard ..... always!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
