I always heard the water swirled in the opposite direction Northern to Southern hemisphere but yeah; who knows? I can tell you from experience though that I (along with 20 or 30 other nutters) stood on the deck of a ship at noon as the ship was crossing the Equator right around March 21st to see if we cast any shadows and we did not! Not sure what that proves but seemed like a cool idea at the time? (May have been alcohol involved in this experiment!)

That 1st month's a big chunk of quitting but you're not done yet. You've proven you can deal with the worst your junkie brain can throw at you but now the question becomes, can you keep it up? I think you've proven you can so just keep doing it OC!

When I was a kid I always thought quicksand would be the biggest problem in my life because 'nobody' could escape from quicksand; right? Then years later, well actually decades later, I realize quicksand is no real threat to me because I've never come across it yet in all my years on this earth, and I've been to some pretty weird places in my time, so chances are .... I'm good for the rest of my days! Now I worry about other stuff like, does water really go down the drain counter clockwise in the southern hemisphere? And if it does, what happens to water in a sink right on the equator? Is there no swirling of water on the equator? Or; is it like this? Switching back and forth between clockwise & counter clockwise I clearly have some serious contemplating to do so I'd better get at it!!

Rewards are good! They reinforce your good quit behavior! Set your milestones or goals and reward yourself accordingly. Keep checking out the forum too! Lots of good stuff that will educate you about the lies & realities of smoking & quitting. There's a video page too that addresses just about every single issue surrounding smoking & quitting. Need a little extra motivation? Get mad at the tobacco industry by watching the three episodes of Tobacco Wars. Lots of stuff for you here on this site

Welcome aboard - barf-bags for nervous travelers are over there in the corner if needed Seriously though, quitting is ultra simple. Only one rule: N.O.P.E. (Not One Puff Ever). maintain that rule as your junkie brain tries to convince you otherwise & you'll come out the other side as a proud quitter! You'll get lots of expert knowledge here as well as support from other quitters
