  5. I do remember seeing a few posts by you. I'm glad not only that you're still quit but that you're also 'happy' about it. That's really important, a positive attitude! Stick around if you're so inclined or at least check in when you need to. Lots of knowledge & support here and it's all free
  6. Yeah. One minute you're just relaxing on the beach and the next you're defending yourself against a beach umbrella attack

  8. Thinking maybe I'll stop going to the beach. Of all the ways I ever thought I might die, this ain't one of 'em https://globalnews.ca/news/9055639/woman-dies-impaled-beach-umbrella-south-carolina/

  10. Does if look like this?
  11. Irritability, anxiousness & restlessness were my least favorite quit symptoms when I was in the early days of my quit. The main thing that I turned to was breaking away from whatever situation that was causing me grief and doing some deep breathing in order to calm myself although, fisting a few peeps in the face may have also felt pretty good - until I was arrested for assault You know it's true though that all quit symptoms eventually disappear completely yet the many benefits you'll receive by quitting remain with you for life!
  12. Pretty sure I have too
  13. It's not just the carcinogens in cigarettes that can kill us and others around us. I've heard of people falling asleep and their smoldering cigarette igniting a fire but I've never heard of this one https://barrie.ctvnews.ca/combustible-potting-materials-to-blame-for-deadly-gravenhurst-blaze-1.5951878

  16. One of my best quit benefits too Funky!! Travelling is a lot more pleasant as a non-smoker. A year or so before my quit we flew to Istanbul from Toronto - 10 hrs. non-stop. Major nico-withdrawal BIG TIME! Think I almost knocked the wife over trying to get outside to have a smoke once we landed So nice to have those years in the rearview mirror now
  17. Oh WOW! Half a Year already! This is a special celebration as it marks that 1/2 year point. Keep doing what you're doing and before you know it, you'll be relaxing on that Lido Deck in another 6 months

  21. 9 Years - WOW Huge congrats D! Now there's a reason to dance

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
