  1. Early quits mostly such big time emotions! But, this is the timeframe when you develop your coping skills. Whether those be going for a walk, having a shower mid-day just because it distracts you or whatever! Doesn't matter as long as you don't end up listening to your junkie brain telling you to light up. This is the real battle ..... ignoring what your junkie thoughts are telling you to do. Understand that this doesn't last forever. It's part of your journey but in retrospect, it's an instant. A very challenging one but just an instant. Get beyond that and you'll be fine!

  15. You will find all the support here on Quit Train that you want or need. As you know, in the end it comes down to you but there's a ton of information and support here to help you along the way. Stick around and stay active; that's the key! Be involved in your own quit and the quits of others. Just responding to other quitters strengthens your own quit. Yeah; weird I know but so true!!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
