  4. R.I.P. Queen Elizabeth! You performed your duties admirably though out the decades. You will not see another monarch like her again, ever!

  10. Well, distraction is the key thing you need to find in order to help get through those nagging thoughts of smoking that are relentless in the early days of our quit. It's doable for everyone, just a matter of finding the right path for you and your current lifestyle. Keep at it because it's so worthwhile in the end.

  14. After a full day of drinking at the trailer park, I decided to tell the neighbour exactly what I think of him and his precious horseshoe pit!!
  15. (That detached feeling) Brain fog .... typical early quit symptom. If you're looking for mindless activity to partake in while your mind is lost in a fog, there's plenty of mindless games in the 'Games' section. Keeps one's mind occupied so it doesn't keep focusing on having a smoke. A day at a time for now, that'll get you to where it won't all be so overwhelming.

  20. Uno (what the hell just happened back there anyway? @johnny5 & @overcome team up in Chicks or Sticks and slam the chicks - Ouch!)
  21. So the deed is done and there's no undoing it now. beating yourself up about it will do no good either. You're at a crossroads right now, because you've awakened all those nicotine receptors in your brain again just as they were getting into a nice deep sleep. They're going to be calling out to be fed, probably louder and more frequently than before. The question you have to answer for yourself is what is it that you want more. Freedom from this terrible addiction or another round of smoking slavery? You may have made quitting a little harder by having 'just one' but you can still quit! You just need to double down on your efforts and your commitment to be free of this smoking nonsense. That choice can only be made by you! You know there's always support here for you but it's now time for you to really take charge of your quit if you still want to be smoke free for good.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
