  3. What boss, youre the boss, the other one just pays the wages. You ll be fine, just another no smoking day at the office. I thought you had said I shall think of HIDING places to put the body. You serial killers get bolder all the time!

  12. Ive chewed my fingernails down to my armpit, put on 12 stone, drop kicked the cat over the fence, chewed through my steering wheel, developed tourettes syndrome and class road rage as a daily work out. This giving up smoking is a lot easier than i thought!Over a month and going strong, sounds like everyone else is coping as well, apart from the odd rough day.Well done all.
  13. cheers you lot, looking forward to seeing months instead of days on that ticker.
  14. Hi everyone, thanks for the messages of support.I am still going strong, cravings are almost gone apart from the odd little short lived one. Got through the drunken family reunion last weekend, didnt trouble me too much at all. Thanks marti for the aylesbury shout Thanks ramona for the porpoise(actually better than my real picture) And thanks again to everyone else and glad to see you all doing well still. Must be off now, cos as you know i am busy not smoking.
  15. I was going to put a picture up but couldn t handle the guilt of everyone starting smoking again.Maybe a picture of a porpoise would be better!
  16. Thanks ladies, between you and the mrs, i ve managed to sort out the ticker. It wasnt a computer error, it was the idiot operating it! I have the computing skills of a porpoise.
  17. breathing, not clearing your throat all the time and not stinking. Just a few of the benefits.Keep attacking those stairs extex

  21. Ive got family visiting this weekend and they all smoke, and we will be going to the pub in the afternoon and then for a meal. Its going to be a tough weekend i think but i am not going to smoke.
  22. no pure English. pedro comes from family nickname i don t think theres any russian or s. amex in my lot!
  23. I seem to be the opposite at the moment.I am handling social situations quite well, and most of my friends smoke, but i seem to struggle when i am alone. My mrs gave up last june, so I just talk it through with her in the evening which helps. I think you will do fine at the party, you won t even have time to think about the smokes you ll be that busy having fun. You can wake up the next day proud that you got through another test, and youre not having to start from day one again.
  24. Thanks, been struggling the last couple of days for some reason. I will have to do the usual and eat my bodyweight in food to take my mind off the smokes. If anyone knows of an ex smokers obesity forum let me know I might need it soon!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
