Hey guys! I´ve been missing for a few days due to a horrible experience with Zyban (bupropion). I started with a dosage of 150 mg and everything was fine but when the doctor doubled my dosage to get the aid with quitting smoking effect I went totally manic. This wasn´t a nice euphoria when you feel happy and that´s it. This was a "I´ll fly through the roof" euphoria. So my husband called the doctor and he told me to stop taking Zyban totally and that sent me into terrible depression. I´ve battled with depression before and this is a big one. I just wanted to let you guys know how I´m doing and let newcomers and lurkers know that Zyban might sound like a great idea for quitting but it can have nasty side effects. I´m not saying this will happen to everybody but it´s what happened to me. Hugs! -Nat

A little bit late due to my sleeping problems but today is a day of NOPE

Wow! Congratulations! That´s a lot of cigarettes!

Thanks for all of your replies. I was able to sleep a bit yesterday and I took a long nap today. I think it´s starting to get better :)

So...I turned 30 yesterday! And I quit smoking! So you know now I want to start the healthy eating part and go into the complete transformation LOL... kind of a silly thought of mine if you will. In my country the new big thing for healthy dieting is starting with a juice fast (I know it might be old news for some of you guys) I´m considering on doing one to help my body get rid of some toxins and my husband is going to join me. It´s a two days fruit and vegetable juice fast. Have you tried it? Does it work? Any advice will be appreciated. Hugs! -Nat

Hey guys! Ever since I quit I´ve had trouble sleeping. On day one it was like a bad night but it has become IMPOSSIBLE to sleep. I couldn´t sleep a minute yesterday. Not even when I took some over the counter sleeping pills. Has anyone gone trough these in hell week? Anyithing I can do? Thanks, -Nat PS I apologize. I think the topic title should have been severe. Spelling mistake. Oops.

Thank you guys! :) I´m being spoiled by my husband a lot. And I turned 30 as a non smoker!

LOL :lol2: I really mean baby turtles. They´re named Madison and Ella. Assuming they´re both girls but we really don´t know yet.
-
Happy happy birthday! :) I didn´t know you had a foot fetish LOL but enjoy

Thanks! First day was bittersweet. I had an awful fight with my sister because she´s kind of difficult and I was extra sensitive. But as a motivation and reward for quitting my husband got me two lovely baby turtles that I love. I´ll try to stay positive. -Nat

Hi guys! I think I´m surviving hell week more or less fine for now. My mind changes from foggy to super speed and I have goosebumps and cravings but drinking juice as it says in the video has helped me a lot. I´ve been watching the videos and doing everything all over again. Thanks for your quick answers. Hugs! -Nat

NOPE! :)

Huge NOPE for me starting today!

This time I´m using Zyban and NRT. I read somewhere that this combination method is quite effective so I thought I´d give it a try. I plan on using the NRT just for the first few days because eventually I need to completely detox to make this work. I went cold turkey on some attempted quittings before. I also attended the Allen Carr clinic but it didn´t work for me although it´s very effective for some people. Thanks for your quick answers. By the way, I apologize beforehand for some spelling or grammar mistakes I might make. English is not my first language. Sorry. I´ll try hard! -Nat

Hi guys! I´ve missed you! As you can imagine I fell off the train and started smoking again. I went up to 3 packs a day. It was an awful setback but...I´m back! Tomorrow is my quit date. Wish me luck! Love, Natalie
