  1. I don't miss feeling the NEED to go out in the rain and snow and cold to smoke that is really cool. I think that is what is keeping me quit I don't like feeling a NEED to do something unless its Pee hahahah couldn't help myself I made a funny. Happy Friday
  2. Doing good. Mommy has her PET scan today and praying we will get the good news......... Had a crazy urge the other day wasn't even sure what triggered it I was feeling relaxed and thinking aaahh to sit back with a smoke but it passed. It kinda sucks ended up with a stupid cold that has lasted 10 days. In a crazy part of my mind I figured hey if you don't smoke you won't get sick.. Yes I know that makes no sense but that is what I felt like.
  3. It is so great that long timers are still around supporting us on our journeys. So thank you
  4. Yeah congrats
  5. I did see some support groups that do not allow relapse or any use of nicotine replacement usage they seemed a bit extreme but signed up for one of those sites as well. The more support the better :-)
  6. I like reading the message boards. Here is my two cents for the day. I thought once I quit I would have so much more time in the mornings and now I laugh because I am actually rushing out the house late not sure how that's possible.
  7. Hello and Welcome. I too decided to find a forum and support group to help stay quit and it has certainly made a difference. Keep up the good work and keep busy. You can do this one day passes then two then a week then two weeks and then you feel like wow I am officially nicotine free how cool is that :-) .
  8. Welcome and all the best on your path to becoming a non-smoker!
  9. Way to go Boo keep up the great work :)
  10. Hello Willy
  11. Wow you are amazing.....
  12. Thanks I am just seeing this how excited it made me feel.
  13. Got out early on Friday treated myself to a Salon visit and a new look for a new me going into 2017 as a non-smoker 1 Month today :-)
  14. This is my response to my SOS. If you are struggling today just remember watching your poor Mother go through surgery/Chemo and Radiation because of the evil habit of smoking. Remember how scared you all were as the Chemo and Radiation made her sicker. Hopefully by the time I need this SOS Mom's PET scans will all be clear. Take a good look at the pictures for the Lung Cancer Walk 2016. NO SMOKING!!!!!!!! You have kicked worse habits than this and have become the better for it. :-) 2/23/17 - In case the above isn't enough now also can remember watching your co-worker Stage 3 and can't breath (this was one of your smoking partners) you do not want to be her in another 20 years because that is what another 20 years of smoking will do.
  15. How do I make a post for myself for an SOS. Do I just type it here?
  16. Merry Christmas to all. :)
  17. Nope not today :-)
  18. Thanks for the quick response yesterday to my SOS. Did not smoke and am feeling calm today :-) I haven't figured out quite how to use the site yet.
  19. SOS SOS SOS.....

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
