  1. Hey glad you returned bet you found traveling so much easier as a Non-smoker am I right?
  2. Nope nope nope
  3. I think I knew smoke was bad it wasn't like a light bulb went on. When I was first married we lived in the same neighborhood as the Lucky Strike model did when she was old. I can remember sitting on the stoop and she would walk down the block she had a hole her throat from smoking. We were young we would put the cigarettes aside until she passed.
  4. Welcome Pumpkin glad you found us. This is a very worthwhile journey you are on. And there are some great people here to help.
  5. I know allot of men that quit and didn't have the urge again after they quit was a little jealous thinking maybe it is easier for them... Not sure I know for me I can't say it was a breeze and I still get a thought maybe not an urge but a thought

  8. The thoughts come less and less but they do pop up you were aware of it and conquered it. Good for you.
  9. Oh my gosh was visiting my sister in law for Easter, now her husband quit smoking after a heart attach that almost killed him. However his sister and my sister in law quit smoking but have been vaping for the last two years. Watching them was almost worse then watching if they were to smoke a cigarette. Those things are just as addicting they both claim it makes them sick but neither can stop. I find they gave up smoking and now walk around 24/7 with those things in their mouth...... At least with a cigarette you needed to go out side so you didn't smoke as much. The Vaping thing they carry all the time and do it everywhere. I know some people swear by them as a means to not smoke but it creeps me out. Maybe because as a teenager I was in rehab for a freebase addiction and it just seems to similar. I know that could just be my warped interpretation but it is the way I feel.......and I will cringe every time I see these.. Just my two cents I needed to vent not Vape LOL
  10. So very sorry for your loss Nancy may he rest in peace.

  14. I didn't have sleeping problems with quitting thankfully. However I am just hitting that age where hormones have started to interrupt my sleep. I always heard about THAT AGE and I kept thinking NOPE not me I like to sleep but mother nature however doesn't care I like 8 hours.......

  17. I remember having my wisdom teeth removed. I also wore braces for over four years and before they were put on I had molars removed to make room. I can remember smoking after oral surgery even though it was so gross....... yep another good reason not to be a smoker...

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
