    Arguments!

Sad for you about the arguments Marti..but brilliant to read it didn't turn into a trigger xxx
  8. Any time Ross..;) Paul, I will certainly give that combo a go. When I read 'nutmeg' I laughed to myself as I'd read a food combo using nutmeg that made me laugh. It says.... Avocado and nutmeg: Advocado mixed with nutmeg is said to have an aphrodisiac effect on men. Advocado contains vitamin B6, which supposedly stimulates the production of testosterone. Nutmeg turns everyone on. Together they transform the mildest-mannered mummy's boy into Javier Bardem. Grind a little nutmeg over cold avocado soup or avocado stuffed with shellfish, then stand back. Obviously could just be me, and my humour, but I laughed out loud. Great tip about the combo though Paul, will certainly give it a go.
  9. Aww...that's fabulous Evelyn. Imagine what was going through their mind..lol..how exciting for them.

  11. Found my The Flavour Thesaurus book by Niki Segnit. My head has been so full of Jolly robins, since last Summer, that I forgot I had it! So...tonight...roast dinner and I checked out flavour combos for carrots (I normally drizzle with honey and roast) It says...Carrot & Cumin: That it's rare to sit down at a Moroccan feast without being offered a plate of sweet carrots in a robust, cumin flavoured dressing. Then tells me to use fresh carrots, toss in olive oil and sprinkle with cumin before roasting. It tells me that this will intensify both their earthiness and their sweetness, coaxing the sugars to the surface, where they caramelise and mingle deliciously with the spice....mmmm...sounds fab! I am going to give these a whirl tonight. Also saw this combo if it helps anyone... Cumin & potato: cumin has something of a musty flavour and shares an earthy quality with potato. Combine them and you might expect something reminiscent of a trudge round a ruined castle on a damp Sunday afternoon-yet they taste anything but gloomy in the Indian potato dish ' jeera aloo' . When cooked, potatoes and cumin take on a new sweetness, and the latter becomes a deal more aromatic. Boil unpleeled potatoes until just tender, then drain, dry and cut into halves of quarters. Fry in oil with cumin and salt until browned. Garnish with chopped fresh coriander.
  12. Hiya Amy How are you getting on?
  13. Soozie, I know your likely up to a high level of business ;) but if you are reading I just wanted to say hi, that I'm thinking of you, and that your cracking on as a non smoker xx
  14. Is there anyone you can hang out with today Sarah, someone who cheers you up and makes you laugh? ((((Hugs)))))
  15. Andrew, are you from London or Essex? If London were you born within the Bow Bells area? Which is your favourite localish seaside destination? Do you like pie, mash &liquor or are you more a jellied eels man?
  16. Morning Laura How you getting on?
  17. Although busy as hell today...eventuality will get to have one of these. http://youtu.be/Rv41AgQTlrA
  18. No, I will always live in England-family and friends too big a pull. Hubby, a few years ago, was offered the chance to relocate to Australia-we said no after months of thinking it over, felt wrong. Least favourite chore has got to be cleaning windows, just far too many of them! I used to be a 'woo' but that all changed. Once wrote an article for a skeptic site about my turnaround of thinking (if anyone's interested?) http://www.skepticreport.com/sr/?p=208 Aliens...mmmm...I find it hard to accept that with the vastness of the universe that we are the only living life forms, but that said, I am not yet convinced we have been visited by them.
  19. What Andrew said. You will, over time, find the triggers wind you up less and less. Well done for sticking two fingers up at the trigger.

You would have loved her Leanne, no doubt...she loved music too..lol I have no doubt your mum was one in a million too xx Pet Peeve...oh so EASY, my daughters not keeping their rooms up straight and tidy...drives me nuts!!! To be fair though it's likely it really is just me being OCD...just winds me right up...but (deep breath..lol) I have learnt to keep my annoyance to myself. Hard though, very hard ;)
