  2. Many congratulations to you Petra, hope you enjoy your special day xx
  3. No worries had forgotten all about that lark...life's too short ;) I really would be suprised if the book didn't help you to first understand your mind, then learn the tricks on how to tame it (the chimp) If you do make a purchase Susana let me know how you get on with it, will gladly have a chin wag with you. Take care x
  4. Glad it went well and you enjoyed yourself. I have no doubt he will find it easy as pie quitting vaping as it is so not like quitting cigarettes, chalk and cheese different.
  5. Hello Susana and welcome. I can relate completely to your approach and can understand you wanting to do the mental groundwork, getting that solid and secure. May I suggest a book that I really believe will help you remove the gremlins (the thoughts that lead you to lighting up). It isn't a quit smoking book but a fabulous tool to sort the wheat from the chaff in your mind. It's called The Chimp Paradox by Steve Peters and from reading your posts I really think it would be the last piece of the jigsaw for your sticky quit. You sound very much like me 'strong minded' yet the strong mind can be our worst ruddy enemy at times? The book has changed 'everything' for me as I'm now able to happily control/tame my mind, my chimp. http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/05/14/steve-peters-chimp-paradox_n_5321142.html
  6. She has a view to die for. I visited Florida (Orlando WDW) but am deffo going to do a twin center holiday next time and check out your beautiful part of the world. The buzz and the rhythm (from what I've seen on tv) excites me very much.
  7. Brilliant, five months already! Many congratulations to you xx
  8. Many congratulations to you, never doubted you for a minute. I hope you enjoy your special day with a fabulous coffee or two ;)
  9. Congratulations Doreen you must be as pleased as punch. I hope you enjoy your special day xx
  10. Many congratulations Nancy, first of many years of freedom for you. Hope you enjoy your special day xx
  11. I one day hope to go there and have a dance on the beach, to the fabulous music. Miami always looked fabulous on the Dexter show. I remember the view you posted from your mother's apartment? What a gorgeous view.
  12. Spilt my coffee laughing....lol...;)
  13. I can 'so' tell that you have had a revelation moment, absolutely made up for you Tiffany! Have yourself a wonderful time, smoke free....like you said, you've got this xx
  14. The boys sang this at the recent concert I attended, the atmosphere was electric.....love this feel good song. http://youtu.be/DVOTIpQg_vI
  15. Yuck....to think wedid that. I am truly long past romancing the cigarette although I have had one or two moments were the 'thought' of a nicotine free vape has crossed my mind, I won't lie, but a good old distraction sorts that thought right out. Just glad I've got the cigarette crush out of my sysyem....yuck times a billion.
  16. Hope you all enjoy in whatever way you spend the day.
  17. Purchased the Ministry Of Sound Fiesta, Latin House Anthems cd today. Recommend it to anyone who enjoys the Latin twist and is fabulous background music while chilling in the garden. Here's the link https://www.ministryofsound.com/music/compilations/2014/06/25/16/27/fiesta
  18. That sounds like a good idea to me, enjoy your date and have fun ;)
  19. Depends on personal opinion I suppose, and maybe where you live? Essex health authority, where I live, changed my records to a non smoker after 4 months of stopping smoking cigarettes. I made it clear I was still using nicotine at the time. I can only say, from my own personal experience, that although it no doubt appeared to others I was still in fact smoking my body could tell a huge difference between smoke and vapour.
  20. Mind you Sarah he might be vaping with a view to get down to zero nicotine? Many do, I did myself. Many vape no nicotine as the collection of stuff and diy e liquid has become a hobby to them, their choice. Choice is yours of course but if he plans to continue using nicotine and that bothers you then you have your answer.
  21. I am going to start buying pieces, doing them up, them selling them I think Stu. I first am going to get all my house stuff done then can start during gloomy winter, give me something to look forward to. Am loving your pictures so yes...keep them coming.
  22. It looks fabulous, you must both be as pleased as punch. I have just my walls to paint and my paint turned up today for my dining chairs. If it's sunny over the weekend beach hut but if not...he, he, he....painting. I have done my dining table and three other pieces this week. Would love this as a job. I can just imagine some pale blue glass pebbles in the glass ornament in the corner unit, can you imagine the eye flow from the pale blue glass to the beautiful pale blue painted wall? Just beautiful treat to the eyeballs.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
