Laura I remember feeling like you do, time after ruddy time! Drags you down doesn't it? Whatever you do Laura you must not let any previous failures get you in the mind set that you can't do it... I see now that was my downfall. Made me half arsed in my attempt because I didn't believe I could actually do it. Listen just think of it this way... So what if you do feel strange/depressed and lost for a few months... It's nothing in the grand scheme of things, I promise you it is worth every day of discomfort you may feel. Vent, cry or do whatever you need to do on here on a daily basis Laura.. Whatever it takes my lovely and you will be rewarded with both mental and physical freedom xx

I'll second that Colleen ;)

you're right Wendy, you do have to take the CO2 reading. That helped me at the time, it really did. I only cocked up as I tested myself, smoked, and was too ashamed to go back. I am looking forward to hearing how it goes on Friday... Won't be long now.

Just noticed it's your birthday today! I hope you have a great birthday and I hope Babs, and the rest of your family, are spoiling you xx

I really did crease up when I read that Petra ;) If I had a theme tune, a song that conveys me and my attitude to life this is it, plus she's short like me.. ;) http://youtu.be/zvy3gLJZVf4

Good old winter warmer for us. Sausage, mash and gravy with smoked pancetta and chopped spring onions.

My Youngique 3D mascara arrived and I've given it a go. Gosh... What a transformation! I didn't tell my daughters I was wearing the product to see if they noticed. They did and our Lucy has just treated herself to an on line purchase too! Guys if you want that full lash look without the faff of false eyelashes give this product a whirl... I am over the moon.

You are at the starting line with an excited attitude and that is worth it's weight in gold...this is a race you are going to win. Had I been a betting lady I'd bet money on it ;)

Irrational Behaviors of Smokers...What were yours?
sharonsiff replied to Colleen's topic in Quit Smoking Discussions
I remember being warned, before my operation, not to smoke as it would likely make me sick. I let it go in one ear...and out the other and nipped in the patient day room for a pre op smoke, or two. Sick as a dog not 40 mins after coming round from my operation. I mean... How utterly ridiculous! This was over 22 years ago where you could obviously smoke in the day room in hospitals. I have no doubt once the ban came into place I would have just marched outside to have the two. -
The Simple Message That Brought This Middle School Class to Tears

That really was a beautiful video and what a complement to you Babs that your son, took time out of his day, to send you that thank you. I am going to get my girls to watch this too, as he enforcized my point, right at the beginning, that if you lie with dogs you can catch fleas. Great video. -
How lovely... Roll on the UK's Summer so we can do that. What a lovely way to spend your day.

I enjoyed it... Talking to myself, yet still got no sense... ;) I kept to my resolution and gave chat a go though... Grin... Action I would no doubt enjoy having a chin wag with you in chat, so look forward to it... One fine day. Will say though wasn't keen on the White padded walls... Needed a splash of sky blue so will take my paint brush next time, if I try again xx

Oh DD the Trinity season was the best! So very clever... And the finale! I didn't see that coming and was so shocked. I also enjoyed the very last ever episode but was also gutted that it was finally over.. I did warm very much to Dexter, he played the character so well. I have heard about The Waking Dead and I think once we get through the Breaking Bad box set will give this one a go. Lots of my friends have mentioned this too. Gotham.. We think that this is simply brilliant! I wasn't sure if I would like it but have never been so wrong. It has taken a break, here in the UK, so am looking forward to it next being on. I really enjoy the scenes with both penguin and the butler. They are my favourite characters although it goes without saying I think the young boy who plays Bruce does a grand job. I think Fish is someone who gives me the chills too... Great characters. Once I've finished on here I'm off to check out your Shameless on you tube. Beth I hope they don't cancel The Stalker...last nights Crazy For You episode...just wow! Plus a chilling version of KDLangs Constant Craving at the end... They seem to be playing all my favourite songs! I use to enjoy both V and Flashback... Both cancelled though... Gutted.

Going to go in, just for 15 minutes as shower and TV time soon. If anyone fancies a chin wag see ya there.

I don't have any thoughts or triggers at all now, which I would 'wrongly' never believed. I honestly thought I would would spend the rest of my adult life mixing up cravings with triggers and fighting both. Time and patience paid off I'm pleased to say. I will admit though there have been times it had crossed my mind to have a no nicotine vape. So I assumed it was the sectioning the day and the action I missed. Anyway I sorted that out, by accident, and learned my body enjoys holding in my breath for at least 10 seconds then ever so slowly, but deeply, releasing the breath. I honestly can feel some sort of rush and joy when I do this. So I've learned to still section up my day, but not 30 times like when I smoked! And if I fancy it treat myself to a face goes pink in breath then release. But crave cigs? Not a chance anymore... The smell alone turns my stomach, just yuck!

Chrispy said it for me. Jackie please don't let lifes projects, challenges and celebrations give you the excuse to smoke. Been there done that! You must believe that you will get past the 7 month mark because by simply sticking to NOPE, no matter what, you will. I wish I had a magic wand that could magic away the romancing the cigs feelings you get, I have no answer other than read, hang tough and just trust that equal amounts of time and patience do remove the romancing the cig feeling... Along with not confusing a trigger with an actual crave. Hope you had a lovely wedding and I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures xx

Oh yes, their chemistry was clear to see. I really like Johnny, I loved him in Dexter.. Tick, rock, tick, tock. Not sure if you were a Dexter fan? I will have to look out for Fargo too. We have Netflix but to be honest the girls are on it mostly watching old Moderen Families and films. One of my TV's is on it's last legs I think I will get a smart TV so I can stream Netflix from my pad to my TV. I could catch up on old series's of things you recommend then at least. Sky TV keeps showing an advert about box sets being available I must look into that too. I do love my TV time... 8:30 till 10:30 each night, I look forward to it tbh. I watch the news after meals but don't settle down for real TV till later... But when I do I love it! Shameless was hilarious in the UK, oh my goodness I used to belly laugh all the time... So wrong, yet so right ;) My 15 year old girls have started to watch Friends on one of the Sky channels, they love it.. As did I it was one of my favourites. I really enjoy chatting TV shows with you DD and if you spot any other good shows let me know! The Stalker is on our end tonight, 9pm...can't wait ;)
