I don't understand why you are using nicotine ? You already quit cold turkey ! Why did you relapse ? What were your excuses to smoke ? Spraying nicotine is just prolonging the torture of withdrawal. Hope you just get back up, dust yourself off and leave nicotine behind. Nicotine does not help you or serve you. Quit the opposite. Nicotine addiction OWNS you. I hope you let it go. Remember how awesome you felt about yourself on your cold turkey quit ? Use that power that you have, Beautiful one.

Excellent ! Smoking had the tendency of hiding many health issues so, please consult a professional on any concerns. Congratulations on quitting smoking and being nicotine free ! Everything will get better by and by. Don't expect immediate results, it takes time to reconfigure the nicotine addict's brain. Rewarding yourself helps. The Significance of Rewards

Hello, Andrew. Congratulations on quitting smoking. Have you stopped taking NRT's also ? Here are a few links to our friend, Joel Spitzer, on the issues you have mentioned; After Quitting Smoking Is There Such A Thing As Quitters Flu ? Common Symptoms

You are still using Gum as a NRT, right ? If you continue to feed your nicotine addiction you will continue to have craves. The only way to freedom is to stop delivering nicotine to your body. I believe you said that you were going to stop gum 'after your exams'. There will always be an excuse to continue using nicotine, I hope you stop this craziness.

OK. Family gone. Back to spank the sticks. Dinner at Brennans was good. I did have the duck, @Paul723. Duck (smoked, good) with a Satsuma glaze (meh) and oily tiny cubes of fried polenta (nope) An appetizer of smoked fish pieces in a lemon curd parsimoniously sprinkled with caviar (OK). Service was a little belligerent, insisting on removing the wine glasses for the appetizers for more table space. "NO, please ! I want wine with my appetizers" (2x) He also tried to talk me into a 'certain' rye whiskey for my Sazerac' with a long speech about the levels of flavor in rye. (pfffttt) It is hard for me to go to restaurants. My food is often better and no one argues with me about Sazeracs. Still, company was good. Now, time to bulk up my stock supply in anticipation of Jazz Fest Legendary Gumbo @ Chez Saz

Thank you, friends Jordan, Jillar, Boo, Bakon, Doreen, Catlover, Paul, Linda, Roz, Queen B and the rest of you smoke free creatures. Whew. I probably made the best Gumbo I have ever made and that is saying something. The whole meal was so damn Good ! I don't think I have ever made everything so tasty. Chicken Liver Pate, Stuffed Shrooms, Shrimp Remolade, Chicken/Andouille Gumbo. Buttermilk Biscuits, Forbidden Rice. and this crazy desert I thought of, no recipe. 72/78 % chocolate squares in packets of filo pastry with dollops of creme fraiche and wizzed up calamondons (from a friends tree )on the side. Never made these before and wowzer. Simple and EVIL. Now, my kitchen looks like nothing happened. Love that. I am SO tired. So tired. Daughter/Spouse/Father in Law taking me to Brennans on Friday. It is going to have to go some to beat Chez Sazerac but, it will be SO nice to sit, be exceptionally served and with such fine company. I'll be back in a few. Just wanted to thank y'all for your posts and share the news. I didn't burn the biscuits or the roux and didn't sweat a thing. Now for a nice L O N G nap.

Hello darling smoke free creatures, I have family company in town for the week ahead and will see you when things calm down. Busy Busy Busy. Have to scurry and clean the crib, cooking up a storm. Having sit down for six Wednesday here at Chez Saz. Cooking my Legendary Gumbo, making Rémoulade sauce for Shrimp...many other delights. Cocktails? Sazeracs, natch! See you when the flurry is over. Keep your quits and be kind to yourselves. s
