Just in after inspection of courtyard. No snapped rats. No sign of rats for the first time in months ! The restaurant down the street is closed due to the COVID-19 shutdown, removing the rat's major food buffet. Maybe, will get ahead of the rat game, at least temporarily.

I agree with Jillar. Consult your physician. and it is never a bad idea to turn telly and devices OFF and limit your exposure to the frenzy of the news. Radically limit your exposure. Read a book. Listen to music. Garden. Spend time involved in a hobby. Exercise. Show yourself kindness.

Anxiety can be debilitating. I am glad you have techniques to calm yourself down. There is a lot of cause to be anxious these days and some also feel impressions of our collective anxiety. Everyone is terribly concerned, rightly so. All we can do is keep distance, wash our hands, cover our mouths. Be kind to eachother and ourselves. Congratulations on your quit, @AndrewAsh ! Six weeks ! Reward yourself for every crave and trigger conquered. Things will be better by and by. Appreciate how happy you have made your lungs...your cilia are shaking off all that poisonous tar. You blood circulation is returning to normal and bring nourishment and oxygen to important body parts. Plenty of reason to celebrate. Thank you for checking in. There is no valid excuse to smoke, although our addict brains will try and invent one. Red Flags Believe in yourself and this marvelous journey you are now on. Craves and triggers will come and go. Remember YOU have the power over craves and acquire more personal power with every one conquered. You are doing GREAT ! Breathe deep and enjoy your newly found freedom. There is no reason you can't keep your quit, Irene. Stay focused. Keep your commitment to yourself, to your quit. Draw power from that commitment, see how far you have come. Reward yourself for every crave/trigger conquered, this helps stimulate your endorphins, the mechanism that nicotine gangstered. Things are going to get much easier, your hairy moments will start to be few and far between. You will realize that you haven't been thinking about smoking or not smoking for longer and longer periods of time. Think of how long you smoked...healing and recovering from all those years and patterns will take thought and time. You are free now and able to craft your new life, your new life affirming patterns. Have some fun with that.
