  1. Happy Birthday, bakon. You left a trail in your celebrations. I found someone's pumps, a silk scarf and an empty carton of eggs outside your car. I'll be glad to return them but, I'm keeping the little leather crop and the shiny badge.
  2. My Cigarette, My Friend I Hate Smoking So Much There Is No Way I Could Ever Go Back
  3. Thinking about you, Irene and reading over the start of this post. Maybe these resources will help you. How Would You Deal With The Following Situations Smoking Does Not Help You Overcome Stress
  4. I am glad you didn't obey addiction and flounce off, S, I am glad your thinking brain kicked in. Sometimes the truth is not 'fluffy'. That can't be helped. Keep us abreast of your progress quitting nicotine. This may help others out there who are addicted to the gum. We know, quitting nicotine is a big deal and will support you as best we can in our own individual ways.

  6. I know you just coughed lightly but, this video will help you understand what is happening in your lungs. Your cilia is sloughing off years of poison, tar... Why Many People Cough More After Quitting Smoking After I quit, I understood, Oxygen is my 'high'. Always available and beautiful deep breaths ignite my endorphins. Oxygen's happy high. I love this, hh. Stay vigilant and strengthen your resolve everyday. It is beautiful to watch you re-claim your power from addiction. I will look for some more support resources for you, stay tuned.

"Haven't intentionally watched news in over 24 hours, pretty sure that has something to do with my spirits." I am on a news blackout also, darcy ! I only look at tweets from the City and only because I need to know if they have messed up the water and we can't shower. They will text me on any updates I need to know. The rest is not good for my mental health. I am so happy you are feeling so positive about your quit. I remember the first rumblings of that euphoria. It fed me.
  9. Don't believe the lies of addiction, addiction is part of what is stressing you out. You will be fine. Get some rest. Tomorrow, a free woman. We'll be here. Change the things you can change and reveal your power. See ya tomorrow. S
  10. I am really sorry to hear of your relapse. What went wrong ? Why did you abandon your commitment to NOPE ? This is a really idiotic time to continue smoking. Have you seen what COVID-19 does to the lungs ? The anxiety over Friday is going to give the addict's voice plenty of time to lead you, once again, astray and more time for more damage your lungs.. I hope you quit asap. You will never regret it. Setting Quit Dates

  12. Rez, if you had been chewing on your dog's poop for two or more years, we would be having a conversation. lol.
  13. Relapse is a conscious choice, it does not happen arbitrarily. and Relapses Are Not Determined By How You Quit Smoking
  14. If you are still using nicotine gum, you are still feeding your addiction to nicotine. This isn't my opinion. This is a fact. Nicotine Is Nicotine Is Nicotine We are here to educate people about smoking and nicotine addiction and support them in putting nicotine addiction to sleep. The door is always open, S.
  15. It is just a matter of putting smokey thoughts aside and replacing them with Everything else. I yelled, 'FREE YOUR HEAD' a lot. Took some screaming showers. I would try and replace smokey thought with something of beauty to stimulate endorphins. That light on that leaf, a cloud, a memory. Here is something from Joel Spitzer about Predestined Bad Days After Quitting
  16. we love our Nancy
  17. you are wrong. Addiction is Addiction is Addiction. You are full of junkie phrases and thoughts, justifying your addiction to nicotine. Quitting smoking with the directed and limited use of NRTs, has helped many to quit smoking and put their addiction to nicotine asleep. Abusing an NRT, as you are, is remaining addicted to nicotine. We encourage people to deal with their addiction. To put their nicotine addiction to sleep.
  18. There is nothing ominous about day 6. I believe angeleek was just commenting on Her Experience. No shoe drops on day 6. It is just another early day in the journey. Stay vigilant Every Day and remember to reward yourself for every crave/trigger conquered The Significance of Rewards Rewards can be free and simple. A nap, a bath, a book, a song, a dance, a pleasant thought, a beautiful memory, a smile, a belly laugh.
  19. Will need a proper investigation and examination. I have my doubts what with all the Eggs...Nancy's Shoes et al. I am Southern. We specialize in self-rejuvenating virgins here but, alas, I am not a volunteer.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
