  4. If you have finished netflix, lol... Here is an awesome collection of music, film, spoken/written word, photographs, images. From anonymous home movies to classic films. The World's Libraries. Vintage radio/television. History. Concerts. I have leapt down this rabbit hole and stayed for undetermined lengths of time. Internet Archive: Digital Library

"Cravings seems to pull especially hard (which instantly translates to grumpy and whiny) when I get tired or scared. " This is where the concept of H.A.L.T. will help you (are you Hungry/thirsty, Angry/emotional, Lonesome/bored, Tired) Riffing On H.A.L.T. Soon, you will learn what your body is asking .
  9. I dig Allen's attack on addiction, the psychological bit. I am a big fan of Joel's. His emphasis on education and all his resources are excellent. Here's what he has to say about not being a smoker You Never Smoked, How Can You Know What I Am Going Through and Standard Reply For Allen Carr Comparisons
  10. Great to hear from you Andrew ! Congratulations on being smoke free/nicotine free. I had horrible sinus issues as a smoker which thankfully vanished after I had quit smoking for a short time. Colds that reliably descended into bronchitis for years also disappeared. I can catch and survive a cold without my lungs being terrorized by tobacco smoke leading to bronchitis or worse. With time, your lungs will heal themselves. It's miraculous. Glad you are holding strong. You keep yourself and your family safe also, thanks for staying in touch !
  11. @notsmokinjo comes in and out. A worrisome thing these days, for sure.

  15. No @helmethermit, you were not coming across as cocky at all. It is just that the voice of the addict may get cocky about your easy quit and smoke and think all quits are easy. Enjoy your freedom ! Beautiful sky and ship and sea. Beautiful.

-17 love seeing Tammy again. very cheering !
  17. Well you may be a freak, H, but not about the absence of craves. lol. Just understand addiction and hold fast to NOPE in the event a crave or a trigger. Don't get cocky about your experience in this nice, easy quit, thinking you could smoke again and have another quit just as easy as this one. Every Quit Is Different Please keep an eye on your health. Like Jillar says, consult a Doctor if you develop a fever. After Quitting Smoking, Is There Such A Thing As The Quitter's Flu ? Hope you feel better. Love your contributions here, you are really making a difference. Thank you.
  18. Thought I would bump for these crazy times. Everyone should know that quitting is possible under any circumstances.

  20. I hope you do, S. I am glad he resonates with you about nicotine addiction ! This might just save you from @Doreensfree's cast iron frying pan. lol. She loves Alan Carr.
  21. Great to see you, Tammy ! and so happy you have kept your quit, we've missed you too.
  22. @Sunshine59, Every now and then someone puts it up on YouTube. It gets taken down due to copyright infringements. Alan Carr has helped so many people. It is well worth the ducats.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
