Some quitters do not have a 'worst time' some do to varying degrees. A lot depends on your mindset. Should you experience discomfort it will not last long, disappearing by degrees. One day you realize you haven't thought about smoking or not smoking at all for hours, days, weeks, years. Do not be afraid of craves. They are brain receptors used to a charge of nicotine to release endorphins into your bloodstream. This thread may be helpful to you in navigating around this site 10 Ways To Effectively Use This Forum To Stop Using Nicotine The whole deal about taking breaks... it wasn't so much I really needed a break, I could have easily gone on working. I needed a break to replenish my nicotine levels. Mostly it had everything to do with addiction. But, legitimate breaks, after completion of a job or when contemplating the next are beautifully done without cigarettes. Learning how to do everything without smoking is a big part of the journey, taking breaks were a big trigger for me, for others. I would sit on my back stoop and instead of smoke, take in big beautiful breaths of Oxygen. Oxygen was my new drug ! Deep breaths freshened my brain and revitalized me and became the new normal. For sure you are exhausted what with all the anxiety and feeling low. Pamper yourself in some way, you are doing so well. and think about taking a nap ! Have a little snack and a nice nap. Tomorrow will be a different day and you will be almost nicotine free and ready to work on patterns and habits associated with smokes. You are on a journey. A little turbulence here and there is to be expected. Everything is temporary ! All this discomfort is temporary. Little comfort right now, I know so, pamper yourself in some way.

Remember, you probably had a smoke in your mouth feeding addiction every 20 minutes. So, cut yourself some slack and just ride it out. Go take a shower. Take a bath.
