S your handle is very clever, 'TobacNO'
  7. Congratulations, bakon, on your Six Years of Freedom ! Thank you so much for sharing your quit, your humor and your support over these years. Here are bakon's Topics and the story of bakon's successful quit, Starting Now These are quite a testimony to a valued and never boring member of QTrain. You may discover ~Just how devoted to felines he is ~What appropriate footwear makes him really happy ~How all the bad girls here are his Devoted Eggs He is also a fierce ally to anyone quitting smoking. It was a pleasure to meet you and your Lovely and Saintly wife. I hope we will meet again, I really do. Have a great anniversary and take time to reward yourself, baby. 8. Yesterday was the Autumnal Equinox for us in this hempisphere.
  9. someone was asking...
  10. I am two months caffeine free. My blood pressure has stabilized and now w/out meds. Yay. I also quit drinking, cut way back on salt, improved my diet...got serious about vitamins. I am glad to have caffeine out of my body. I feel really good. It was pretty gruesome the first few weeks and I appreciate y'all for cheering me on. There haven't been any real craves ( certainly nothing like nicotine !) just nostalgic thoughts and the smell is still pleasing but, I have no desire to ramp up the addiction. Coffee/caffeine holds no benefits for me but, I surely enjoyed it for 50 years !
  11. read this, My Cigarette, My Friend
  12. Here is an excellent vid about nicotine addiction
  13. Ahhhh! The elixer of oxygen ! Let us know if you have concerns or questions. We might be able to point you in the right direction. Otherwise, you will get stronger every crave you beat. Don't forget to reward yourself ! Your brain is commencing to rewire, your lungs have begun their repair. It is really amazing to me how resiliant our bodies are. After so many years of poisoning ourselves, our bodies recover in relatively short time. So, be patient. The healing has begun.
  14. I am bumping threads about relapse. How To Prevent A Relapse Red Flags Relapse Prevention The Thing About Relapse and the Topic Search of 'Relapse' A relapse doesn't mean you can't quit smoking. It only means you didn't commit to NOPE (Not One Puff Ever) So, pick yourself up...
  15. Nik ! How are you doing ?
  16. How are you feeling, Sean ?
  17. How are your feeling, Kdad ?
  18. How are you feeling TobacNo ?
  19. How are you doing, Mark ?
  20. Hola, M'life, Pleased to hear you are hanging in. Each day brings change. Maybe today will bring you more clarity. You have power. Use it to defeat your addiction. If you think depression is knocking at your door you certainly don't want to smoke because losing your quit will plummet you down down down. Where's that at ? You don't want to be there. No no no. You really don't want to be there. Save your quit, protect your quit and nurture yourself. You may be feeling bad but, smoking can not change that for the better. Your smoking days are over. Remember the 'ahhhh' moment we used to feel when lighting up ? You won't get that anymore unless you smoke a few to re-establish that synapse, re-establish your addiction. Why would you ever want to do that ? NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE.
  21. Congratulations ! One year is marvelous !
  22. This is a wonderful anniversary, M'life. Please reward yourself, you are growing a marvelous quit and all of us are so proud of you.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
