Great post, Kate. You are certainly on the front lines as a grocery clerk not only with the virus but with the level of idiocy feeding the general public, y'all are treated horribly. I am always, always respectful and kind and cheerful to the people that make life possible, try to be that way to everybody. These are trying times and I know all are under a lot of stress, time to show some extra love for our fellow humans! So glad you quit smoking, Kate. Don't borrow trouble thinking your going to be infected. Follow stringent protocol, it's all we can do. and be kind to yourself.

When Did You Have Confidence In Your Quit ?

The confidence grows. At first, it looks like nothing is happening...and the focus is on minute by minute, one crave at a time but, soon...very soon you realize, 'hey, I quit smoking !' I loved the neuro-dynamics of this...how with each crave conquered, that individual brain receptor was changed back to it's original purpose sans nicotine. What Habit Should I Replace It With Crutches To Quit Smoking You are always ABLE to quit smoking. It is simply your choice that you smoke. Choose differently. I quit on a whim, as a personal challenge to myself almost seven years ago and attribute my success to an education about addiction. I recommend taking deep breaths to get you through your craves. This is always available and serves to calm and replenish your brain/blood with oxygen. Incorporating Exercise After Quitting Do Whatever It Takes To Quit Tell us your quit date, this will keep you accountable to yourself and also let us know where you are in your quit and how we might help you.

Smoking dreams/nightmares are not unusual. Nicotine changed our DNA....we will have to deal with the addiction forever. Not as a constant thought like you are facing now but, as a concept and as a commitment to Not One Puff EVER. This way, you will have NO fear of relapse. If you want to keep pounds down, eat less and exercise more. Thank you for your lovely compliment ! We do have a wonderful group here and you are a big part of this by sharing your quit with us. Don't be borrowing trouble, Jeff. You might not be tested. NOPE may be etched on your brain now. Still, maintain your vigilance, this must be done. You will not fail unless you choose to fail. So don't ! Protect your quit as you would a newborn.
